Lucca Restaurant & Bar
I visited in 2018 and 2019 when standards were higher.The food is above average but not exceptional.However, where the restaurant is lacking is that its menu/wine list has products which are not available. For example, they no longer stock the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. And the Birra Moretti is no longer available despite being listed on the drinks list. They also don’t stock tomato juice which one would normally expect a restaurant to have.It’s a little annoying to request items only to be told “we no longer have that” which happened on three items during 2 recent visits.There are less patrons also no doubt due to deterioration and it’s therefore lacking in atmosphere. It’s a shame because the food I’ve had is 4/5.

Waited for service about 30mins then another 30mins for starter to arrive then even longer for main course. The food was poor main course unbelievably spicy too hot to eat.

How disappointed were we when we booked a table for four at this restaurant. The meal and staff were adequate but the unpleasant smell that was around us was slightly disturbing.After finishing our meal we spotted behind my chair dog poo which I did not step in yet could have easily done so.On making this aware to the staff a man, presumably the manager, although he did not say who he was informed us that they are a dog friendly restaurant and are not responsible for the dogs that come to the restaurant with their owners!Surely the staff should not only clear the tables but also do a sweep around the area of where their customers are eating to see if the floors need cleaning after being occupied with customers?The manager? offered us a free drink when we were leaving and quite honestly did not seem that concerned about what had happened, refuting responsibility as a restaurant that has dog poo on the floor behind the chair where we were eating. God knows how I did not step in it when I pulled back my chair to leave.I have never had anything like this happen before when visiting dog friendly restaurants and pubs as have dogs myself, as do the other people with me.We will not be going back there as the way the problem was handled did not help customer satisfaction, the incident was handled badly and the response seemed flippant when considering the effect it had on us all!

We had such a lovely time here!! The food was so fresh and delicious and the staff was so friendly and nice. We had planned to go on a 7 mile walk to Wridgeway in Wendover and were so glad we stopped here first. The salmon ravioli was so delicious and so was the pizza!! It came to £13.50 per head with no drinks. Would come here again!

Food was lovely. Staff were attentive. Good night out. It was just missing an X factor so to speak. Also tipping at the end was weird with the only ability to tip 15% 20% or 30% on the machine. Will pay cash next time and do 10.

Went to the restaurant last night.The service was amazing lovely polite girls serving us.Pizza was amazing and they offer 2 course and a drink for £15 midweek so was value for money.Will definitely return
