Excellent . Staff very pleasant . Service done . Car washed and hoovered . Coffee shop had a good variety of coffees, teas ,sandwiches and cakes . I should have taken a magazine to pass the time a bit better though . All in all , I would highly recommend Arnold Clark South Street Glasgow .

AVOID !!!Put car into South Street branch for rust repair wheel nuts under warranty,as suggested by salesman at Northwich branch.No update progress on the repair from South Street all of day 1,until i myself phoned to get an update. Service department female was abrupt,unhelpful and told me false information regarding awaiting confirmation before work was carried out,even though I'd it in black&white writing from Head Office it was authorised which i produced at the book-in hand over!Day 2 = Still no feedback well into the afternoon off South Street branch. Again,I had to initiate the chasing up of feedback update,to be told the same thing and if they got the authorisation I'd be put back into a queue for my repair which was already 1 day overdue for a repair which would take literally minutes by a technician. The told me they'd need to order parts and would take 2 days too. Their parts department is on the same street!I was more angry with the lies getting told,along with excuse after excuse off the same unhelpful arrogant service desk female,than the fact still no car back going into day 3...which was totally unacceptable customer service!!!I explained all these events to the Manager of the selling branch Northwich,to which they agreed that South Street customer service is diabolical for giving false information,lies and excuse and they would be in dialogue to ensure this was matter solved quickly.At 4.55pm on day 2 i received a telephone call from another customer service female informing me my car wouldn't be ready still...more lies excuses!I asked for her Manager but as expected i got told unavailable! I relayed all this again to the Manager of Northwich branch,who was extremely understanding and helpful,who then telephones me to 5 minutes later to say= You're car will be available in 30mins!!! (This proves South Street branch were all along a waste a space,with lies,excuses and unpleasant experiences, which was all unnecessary from day 1.)*** AVOID unless you want hours upon hours of numerous correspondence to get nowhere, other the false excuses and lies !! ***

I was here questioning about a specific car through a third party rental scheme, and although the advisor did answer my questions, I wouldn't exactly call him friendly or helpful. I asked for a test run and was told absolutely not, no one will be able to do it for at least a week. Yet there was at least 12, maybe 15 members of staff around the branch sitting about doing absolutely nothing. And I mean nothing. I bet if I was there buying a car and not getting it through a scheme, they'd have dropped everything to attend to me in the hopes of getting a sale/commission. Disappointing behaviour

Absolutely awful experience.I bought a car and within the first two weeks I had a tyre pressure fault showing on my dashboard. I pumping them all up but it came back on the 10 min drive back home.I took it back to Arnold Clark where I explain what had happened.After having to wait a week and a half for an appointment I was told (after having to ask) it was 1 slow release puncture and wasn't told how this was repaired.Their dismissive attitude about the whole repair didn't fill me with reassurance that the issue was actually fixed.I took it to an independent garage (one I trust) and they found three of the tyres to have faulty valves including the tyre that had be repaired" by Arnold Clark and they would constantly slowly be letting out air so would need replaced sooner or later. They also reported a fault with the tyre pressure sensor.When I got in touch with their customer engagement co-ordinator to report this I received some of the worst costumer service I have ever had. He was immediately defensive and passive aggressive telling me the independent garage were obviously lying about all these faults and that my feeling of dismissal from Arnold Clark staff was made up...I would avoid buy a car from here as if you have issues after purchase (which seem likely) it will either be delt with in the cheapest

If you want to pay more than the cars worth whilst being shown around by an arrogant condescending salesman who isn't too happy that you refuse to spend 10 thousand more than your budget allows them this is the place for you.The best thing the salesman did was leave us to go look for more stock on the computer, although this seemed to be code for I'm going to deal with someone willing to spend more than 13 grand".This place has went so far down hill

Absolutely awful experience. Salesman lied about repairs on the car and after purchase washed their hands of faults that were clearly there on sale of the car.If buying a car here you better hope there's no issues as the after sale care is non existent.Once they've got your money, they couldn't care less. Would recommend buying a car anywhere but here.

Made appointment weeks ago for today, mon 4th dec, to drop car off for full service , with a courtesy car. Took the day off work. Arrived at 9am to be told my car wasn’t booked in! Had to show email confirmation to get them to take car in. Then told there’s no courtesy car for me, when I’m miles away from home, have taken the day off and had lots to do. Had to make my own way back home & now left without a vehicle until I have to make my own way back down to collect car.Completely unacceptable ‘service’ so far. Once home phoned to speak to service manager or dealer principle to make them aware of all this, didn’t answer phone but have been told they’ll call me back. I’ll amend this review if I’m contacted back with an apology & some sort of resolution for the massive inconvenience they have caused.

I have been shopping around for a new car for a while and i was interested in buying a car i really liked from Arnold Clark in Glasgow South Street Vauxhall / Peugeot / Citroën / DS / MazdaI went into view this car on the 14th of october and decided to apply for HP then and there given the fact that they had given me a good" deal at the time. Since it was a sunday i was obviously not waiting to hear back from them about the approval of my HP application. So the following monday i got a reply from my sales person saying the application has been approved but its slightly more than what they promised what it would be
