Little Owl Tuition

George was not terribly keen on doing afterschool tuition but he now never moans at all and enjoys the whole experience. After a few years of disrupted learning this is the perfect tonic. Recommended.

Kate and her team have been just wonderful this past year and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Little Owl Tuition (LOT) to anyone.We were worried about putting too much pressure on our daughter by adding to an already busy schedule, yet with the calm and relaxed approach that LOT take, our daughter was able to fit it in like a dream.In comparison to some of classmates who had other tutors, she’s relaxed and absolutely cool as a cucumber about the 11+ exam next week. She’s grown in confidence, with her own schools teachers commenting on how far she’s come.Whatever the outcome, LOT have helped her to realise that she can be whatever she wants to be, if she just leans into it and enjoys the process.Thank you to everyone at LOT. We will miss you and we genuinely can’t thank you enough for everything you do every day for all the children.

I have been Kate’s employee for over a year now, and I have seen her passion and strength go into this business with the children always at the heart of every decision she makes. She is such a lovely person to work for – kind, considerate, and generous. I love being one of her ‘owls.’

Employed by the business since March 2022. Very poor management and communication from Kate the owner. Charges students for missed sessions but only passes these payments onto selected employees. Company is registered with Ofsted which can be misleading as they are as yet to have been inspected.

My child thoroughly enjoys weekly tuition sessions. From a parents perspective; they are very well organised and resourced, interactive and paced well, pitched at the right level of challenge, confidence building and certainly helping my son progress throughout each session.From my child’s perspective; there are no moans to participate each week, he is keen and energetic to share his ideas - clearly feeling safe and encouraged to do so. He comes away being able to explain what he’s learnt and articulate things he may have got wrong.I’m really pleased that we made a decision to go with Little Owl Tuition. Kate and Romy are fantastic professionals and have somehow managed to master group tuition - it’s now definitely my preference over one to one tuition. Thank you both for supporting the progress of my child.

My son finished his 11+ tutoring with Kate in September and she was an absolute gem throughout the whole journey with words of support and encouragement along the way.In my opinion the rapport that Kate has with the children makes all the difference and my son felt Kate was with him every step of the way, and was thrilled to be able to tell her how well he did.This is the second time we've been through the journey and the right tutor makes that time commitment so much easier.Thank you so much Kate, of course Louie worked hard but you definitely brought out the best in him.

My daughter attends the year 4 11 plus group. She has settled in so well and has made a great group of friends. Her teacher is always making the tuition fun and rewarding. We have struggled to find the right place for our daughter. They constantly give you great updates on how she is doing. I would definitely recommend this tuition company.

Our child has been taking part in Little Owl lessons online for a year now. We started with the view that it would support my child's learning through lockdown, however the progress our child has made, means that we will be continuing with the sessions for as long as we can! It’s an added bonus that my child loves taking part in the sessions and they never complain about having to log on!Thank you Kate and Romy!

James absolutely loves his little owl class ! and his Tutor Maddie :) he comes home each week excited about what he has learned and seems very engaged! It’s great that he enjoys an after school activity that is really going to benefit him!
