The Robin Hood Experience

Lovely little place, easily missed as you walk past. Great for young children (4 - 12ish maybe). Set in a number of rooms over several floors with different scenes and characters in each. Fun range of quizes to help you explore the place.

Nice place to visit, but it's a bit overpriced for what is inside. We were greeted by very friendly staff and went for a journey through the building. There are a lot of plaques and printouts to read about the history of Robin Hood. Very educational and good for kids.

A great and informative experience! Lots to do, plenty to see and to learn. I was very impressed with the efforts that went into the decorating and the activities.

Loved it! Good place to learn about Robin Hood, covered it much better than the new displays in the nearby castle which were very sparse on information. Also great displays which were well done if on a limited budget - even has sound effects & smell pods! Definitely worth a visit!

I quite enjoyed the Robin Hood Experience, there really is a lot of stuff jammed in to a small space. I think I may have been a bit of a closet fan of Robin Hood, as it occurred to me that I had seen a lot of the shows / films mentioned on the info boards..!We took the two kids with us and they were both given some challenges to complete as we went through the rooms, with promise of a prize at the end. This kept them partly busy, albeit we needed to read and tell them what they needed to look for, and when they found it they wanted to move straight on....The rooms are not big, and as other reviews have said, you wouldn't really want to be doing it in large groups as there just isn't the space. I felt it was perhaps priced a little wrong for the small people as it was only free if under 3, perhaps think this should be under 5.I think we was in there for just over an hour, and it was something a bit different. Wife wanted me to make sure that I wrote that it does have facilities (toilets) but perhaps don't expect too much in terms of the quality of the toilets!

We were actually on the way to the Ducal House when I looked to my right and happened upon The Robin Hood Experience".On entry we were greeted warmly by the outlaw himself and after a nice chat the offspring were given a task each to do and directions to our starting point.Set in an old three storey house and adorned with everything about the legend from artwork to pop culture references we went to the top room which was made into a medieval hovel where we were told a story.We visited several rooms that visit and heard from Friar Tuck

Great set of displays following the story of Robin hood. Set rooms for different aspects, and lots of info boards around the place. Kids will like it, but it is a bit simplistic for an adult group, and there are ALOT of stairs if you have mobility issues

What fun! We love an immersive experience and this did not disappoint. We have a five year old and this was perfect. Each room had a audio scene which described what was happening. And you ventured from room to room. You could read as much or as little as you’d like and there was a breakout room for dress up, colouring and practice archery if your little one needed a break. The introduction host was really invested and even had books written by himself. We had a great time. Thank you
