Ellie was absolutely wonderful and so helpful throughout the process. Buying in France is surprisingly burdensome and as a UK buyer you're used to really a lot less red tape and questions and all sorts of things that the bank ask of you. Without Ellie/IPF I think I would have either failed to get the mortgage I wanted or just given up as it would have been too complex to navigate without Ellie/IPF guiding me through the process step by step. 10/10 from me and I would go through them again would I buy a second house in France.

Cannot recommend IPF highly enough, we had spoken to our French bank regarding a mortgage and very quickly came to understand the complexities involved with a UK > France mortgage application.Our estate agent thankfully suggested that we contact IPF. Louis was responsive and professional throughout the process. Even with IPF guidance, you still have to do most of the documentation yourself and an awful lot is required for a French mortgage. The main advantage you have from IPF is access to and knowledge of the French mortgage market which is still quite traditional compared to say the UK. Nevertheless in our case we ended up with one of the obvious leaders which I could probably have managed myself. Anyway, the extra cost wasn’t significant and it was reassuring to have someone else knowledgeable along for the ride. Thank you Louis.

I was surprised and delighted to find that we could get a mortgage from a French bank to buy our holiday house. Louis from IPF was helpful and supportive from my first tentative enquiry right through to contacting me on settlement date. We had already been turned down by another broker who suggested we would not be successful in getting a French mortgage. Louis went through various options and explained that there was a 50/50 chance of success. He was willing to help us and and explored various options in detail, ultimately resulting in us obtaining the finance we required. He was meticulous and precise and clearly went to great lengths to facilitate a successful outcome. All in all, a very impressive effort by Louis & his contacts.
