nu spa at The Radisson Blu Hotel

Mediocre at best, in fact I wouldn't really class it as a spa. I booked half-day spa for 2 and initially our treatments were cancelled at 8pm the night before due to staff sickness, not great but these things happen. Staff apart from one were not really friendly or helpful. We arrived at lunchtime and there is only the options of snacks - 2 pre packed mass manufactured cakes, advertised as 'from the bakery' set me back £6. The steam room was out of service, which left a very small leisure pool, sauna and jacuzzi for use. The treatments themselves were nice, and that was the best part of the whole experience. I certainly won't be back and my advice is pay the extra for Ramside or Rockliffe which are infinitely better.To top it off I have received a £100 fine from parking eye too, which I have sent them to resolve....

Kelly was super lovely treatment was so good! Usually don’t like massages that much but she was amazing! Super friendly and relaxing

I bought a voucher for the spa here as a Christmas present in 2022. My brother, who I bought the voucher for, tried and failed on several occasions to get in contact with the spa to book in for a treatment. Unfortunately the spa was completely unresponsive which left a bad taste in our mouths and made us think better of spending the money here.Since then, I have had written agreement from the spa on multiple occasions over a period of 4 months. They repeatedly tell me that the refund has been issued, but nothing lands in my account. When I chase this up in email, the same story begins again. In the most recent chain of events, my email and request was apparently forwarded to the manager, but since then I've heard nothing.At this point it feels like they're just trying to keep my money and are waiting until I run out of energy to chase this. Stay away!

Myself and my friend got a voucher for 2 treatments plus access to spa for the day plus a glass of Prosecco.Lovely pool, beds VERY uncomfortable. There’s just no comfortable way of lying on them. Hot stone massage and foot massage were amazing!Steam room was broken which was disappointing. Still enjoyed ourselves regardless.Overall would probably return.

Overall a really good stay. A few little inconveniences but reception dealt with everything promptly. Food was spot on, the room was cosy and spacious. The health club was clean and well maintained

I gave a spa voucher to my daughter and her partner the massages weren’t great and for one of them the girl was on her phone whilst doing the massage - not good!!Rang to advise manager guessing nothing done as week later had no reply.Won’t be going back very disappointed

Went yesterday to the spa for a late birthday with familyGood location at the raddisson Hotel in the middle of Durham so easy to get to and near shops and places to eat and drinkSo I will say the changing rooms and beside some of the pool where the loungers are wasnt that pleasant,cups and empty little cans Nd bottles of drink everywhere and rubbish,water all over floor so couple of us nearly slipped,could tell staff were all v busy and it's not their fault,just lazy inconsiderate guests but really think there should be more cleaners for us lot that know how to behave!!!!!Lady on reception was so nice and polite she explained everything v wellBest bit was the treatments which we all loved, 3 girls one with dark hair,young lady with headscarf and I had Amy.I had an amazing experience start to finish and never wanted to get up,felt a new woman!! I've been to spas all over for years and this was the best,clearly v well trained and experienced, really strong nd friendly too,will be back thank u Amy and girlsxx

Hadn't been in a spa and swimming pool since 2018. Totally relaxing. Lovely staff. Lovely therapist who did a full body hot stone massage for 50 mins,which I had want for a while but it isn't available everywhere. Lovely relax by the pool, jacuzzi, swim, steam room and sauna. Would definitely return.
