I am away with my family for a holiday to Blackpool. Yesterday the boat was launched for a rescue. I was amazed at how fast and efficiently they got this done.It was only minutes and they were back with someone the team had rescued.These men and women that work for the RNLI are hero's and should have a salary but do it as voluntary. Amazing human beings and selfless.THANK YOU

Blackpool RNLI Lifeboat Station
Modern Lifeboat station combined with a well-stocked shop and visitors centre. Located on the seafront 150m from the Tower. The station houses 3 lifeboats as this is quite a busy station, and there is a gallery above the shop that gives excellent views of the boats in the garage, as well as offering lots of info about the history of the RNLI and the Blackpool lifeboats.

a great job these men and women do saving lives at sea not just Blackpool but all the stations around the UK and Ireland. So just pop in and have a look around the shop and have a chat with the staff they are friendly and knowledgeable and pleasant so make a donation no matter how small every little helps the R N L I. i always make sure that when I am at the seaside i always pop in the lifeboat stations and have a chat to the volunteers and look at there boats and buy some trinkets.... All the best you brave folks. Pete....

I watch Saving Life's at Sea and love seeing these volunteer in action. They usually park out at the beach and keep an eye on the folk on the beach. Good job!
