My son was taken to A&E with breathing problems. We would like to thank all the staff for the amazing treatment he received and the courtesy shown to him. The Doctor took time to thoroughly investigate a problem, which was causing him real concern. Thank you so much.

Today Bank Holiday I visited Southampton A&E with a suspected TIA. Yes it was crazily busy with numerous serious trauma accidents and long wait times, however in-spite of this I want to thank everyone. Without exception they were all extremely professional, pleasant, caring and thorough. A big thank you.

Really don't understand how they treat people there. Waiting time really long, people were rather going home in pain or to GP than wait in agonyI was seen only because I passed out. Then, I spent 6 hours there, about 8 different employees checked on me with different tests but no one looked at my actual problem area and no one would listen to me telling them where my pain was. Not scan .not x-ray ..gave me a painkiller and sent me home!! Now I believe the horror stories in news about negligence. Still waiting for appointment to be checked by someone.

Went there with kidney pain and I requested an ultrasound or scan and they were testing me for pregnancy...they kept me there for 6h in agony looking for a pregnancy that never happened. Gave me paracetamol, very helpful, so helpful that i had really bad shivers and i was throwing up a lot from pain. After 6h they gave me morphine and helped me with pain a lot, but the nightmare that I had to deal with during those 6h was unbelievable. They sent me to Princess Ann hospital to check me for ectopic pregnancy, torsonated ovary or chist - nothing there of course so they discharged me.My husband picked me up, drove 10 mile, after those 10 miles went back to A&E in pain and pressure on the bladder. After 12h spent in there, they took in consideration that I might have a kidney stone, which was confirmed next day at MRI, 4 mm stone.Extremely unprepared, even if they have all the technology in the world. They don't use technology at all to speed up the process of diagnosis...unbelievable...

My experience at A&E yesterday 2nd July 2023 was exceptional in every aspect from the paramedics who came within 5 mins to the care from all the nurses and doctors. Although there were a lot of patients in who needed care I was given all the help and assistance I needed. The paramedic popped in later to see how I was doing which for me was priceless. Thank you all for your kindness and support during my my 15 hour stay.

I have unfortunately had to visit twice in two weeks with two of my children, (anaphylaxis and broken bone) both times the staff were excellent and friendly. The waiting times were short and we were seen fairly quickly. We are lucky to have such a excellent hospital. The allergy clinic is also world class, we are lucky enough to have regular check ups for the last 10 years and has always been an excellent service.

The staff at the a&e where really great. They put up with a lot of patient abuse, and that's really not fair. I was in and out in 4 hrs, including X-rays and prescriptions on January 1st. Please be considerate towards the staff, talking down to them and treating them poorly is not ok.
