Hotel transformation is stunning! Gorgeous decor and extremely warm and welcoming staff. Highly recommend a visit whether it’s coffee and cake in the beautiful coffee shop, tasty meal in the lovely lounge or a refreshing pint or cocktail in the bar….or all of those! Delighted to have our local hotel back in the village and we will certainly be regular visitors.

I stayed here with collegues for several days working on a project in Invergordon. The building itself is quite old but I found it quite charming and appealing, being a bit of history buff. It is certainly a change from the bland interiors of most chain hotels. The dining was what we looked forward to the most on returning from Invergordon. I manged to work my way through the menu and the food was delicious. I particularly recommended the lamb shank. The meat just fell of the bone. One of the best lamb shanks I ever had. The hotel was relatively quiet and I experienced no disturbance during the night.

Disaster! No other word for it. They had children serving alcohol. The food was obviously frozen and microwaved. The wait staff had no idea how to serve. Two meals were served to the people and no apologies were made. Literally the WORST chips in the UK. The venison was tasteless and the wait staff were rude. I could go on forever but I want to forget this plane even exists. Oh, we were also vastly overcharged. Disgusting place.

Very noisy bar downstairs sounds like a disco filled with drunk people who danced and yelled one at another all night.Sink in bedroom dripping water all night long. Electric kettle can't reach electric socket.Have found many B&B all across Scotland that cost less than this hotel that have much and much and much better facilities.Thankfully I didn't pay for it. Sadly the person paying for me didn't know about the bar.Do not stay here!

Completely renovated and updated 17th Century hotel. Popped in for a drink and a cake to die for. Sat out in the terrace as we had the dog with us. Service was great, friendly and professional. Beautifully clean with lots of space. Inside there’s a cafe and restaurant and at the other end the lounge / bar.Going back next week for a family meal.

Yes this place is outdated but you aren't paying much and it is very clean. The staff is nice. If you are passing through and on a budget, it is a good place to stay. A good sized hot breakfast is included.

Perfectly situated for salmon and trout fishermen heading north, the very reasonable pricing of this hotel will alert the experienced traveller to what be might be expected. The Savoy it's not.... but - and it's a big but - the tremendously friendly welcome; the truly excellent breakfast; and the entertaining banter throughout our stay, has firmly positioned this hotel as our annual journey-break when heading north for salmon and trout fishing.

A wasted opportunity. This place looks like a lovely place from the outside but it's a bit of a dive inside, frequented by some really rough looking locals, serving a poor range of beers. Lino floors, Sky Sports and more people outside puffing on cigs than there are people inside says it all.
