Dr Perkins is definitely the best doctor around with out a doubt. Dr Perkins goes above a beyond when it comes too making sure that everyone in he’s surgery get the best level of care and medication to his best ability an always gives 110%. Dr Perkins is as always very friendly an professional never rush my appointment ever. (Unlike some other GP’s that I have been too in the passed.) Dr Perkins deserve recognition for his dedication an extra time he puts in to his work thank you Dr Perkins practiced, the secretary do a very good job considering the very high demand for applications ever day .

Dr Perkins is a 1 st class Doctor, who is empathetic, patient focussed and very diligent. However, it pains me to say unfortunately that since COVID measures have been implemented getting through in the mornings is impossible. I have tried to get through now for the past 3 weeks. Finally having to relent and resort to going to the walk in centre. I really do not see how the current system is tenable when you cant get your prescription, and cant get a telephone assessment. I really do understand that the receptionist are working under extreme pressure, but I would appreciate if they would listen to my health needs without repeating verbatim to call again tomorrow at 8am. I have resorted to commenting on here as I feel patient safety is at risk. Whilst I acknowledge I am able to walk to access the walk in centre, I feel for those who are elderly who cant access the walk in centre and for those who can not get their repeat prescriptions as the pharmacy have no stock and you have to recontact your GP again for an alternative to be issued.

I've struggle with mental health problems and my meds haven't worked since before covid but I've tried getting an appointment with Dr perkins for over 2years now but still haven't been able to see or speak to the doctor just get told to ring back at 8am and by 8.01am all appointments have gone or they refuse to answer the phones till 8.30am and tell you all appointments have goim at the point where I've just given up and now I'm planning my death due to getting no help from the doctor or any NHS services

If you get to speak to Dr Perkins, he is great, however, I can't get an appt. You ring at 8am, after over 68 times of ringing you may get through then all appts have gone by 8.04am.?? Over 3 weeks now with chest problems, endometriosis pain and a slipped disc. I work in the community helping others but can't get any help myself. A and E seems to be my only option.

Dr Perkins is a rarity amongst GPs in that he actually listens to his patients. He is also prepared to do tests when required and make referrals to specialists when these are needed. Probably the best thing about him though is that he doesn't try to rush his patients but gives them time to explain their symptoms before diagnosing and providing treatment.A rarity amongst GPs indeed.

I joined this practice about a year ago, I can't comment about Dr Perkins himself because I haven't met him. The only communication I have had with him was indirect, when he told the diabetes practice nurse to tell me he was changing my medication. Communication at one remove like that wasn't sufficient because I had questions about the listed side effects for the new medication (they included increased risk of liver cancer) and I couldn't ask Dr Perkins about them directly. Also, I chose this practice because its website offers booked appointments online, as well as a telephone triage system. That is incorrect, you have to phone at 8 in the morning and hope you can get through in the following five minutes before all that day's appointments are booked up. They refuse to offer appointments booked in advance at all. The effect of that is bound to be that a lot of patients will never be able to get through on the phone and so will effectively be denied treatment. According to the CGC, G.P.s surgeries are supposed to offer more than one method of getting an appointment. I have also still not been given the instructions for how to order repeat prescriptions online, even though I have asked three times. I can only surmise that, however good the doctor is, the practice is being let down by below standard administration. I expect I will only use the practice's services for my annual checks for my existing long term health problems - they are at least efficient at giving me appointments for those - and get treated for any new ailments via the out of hours service. That does give booked appointments. And that being so, I expect I will never actually meet my GP.

Perhaps the worst medical service. How can I criticise the doctor? You are very lucky if you get to talk to him.It begins and ends with the secretary, the lady who thinks she works in Downing Street. If you want to wake up in a good mood, you'd better not call her, otherwise you'll want to bang your head against the wall.As many have criticised there is no online dating at all, as for telephone dating, it's a lottery.Get up at 08:00 AM, wait half an hour, perfect, you have passed the first step, now you have a 15% chance of getting the appointment, if you don't get it, the old lady will tell you didn't you hear me

I could write an essay of pure positive feedback but register and see for yourselves, by far the best doctor I've ever seen or met. He has supported myself and grandma (before her passing). I can not praise this practice enough. I can not fault this doctor I really can't. Just made another appointment. Dr. Perkins is an awesome GP and I'm afraid I'm to honest to change my opinion. He cared for my grandma. I saw his care for her and that convinced me to have him as a doctor.

Dr Perkins is a first class doctor but the system they use to book appointments is appalling. I believe they have 30 appointments available and can't understand if you do manage to get through after only 3 minutes all the appointments have gone.Whilst visiting the practice, I see that other doctors are busy with patients apart from doctor Perkins where there are no patients sat waiting. Why? I have been waiting over 12 months for a booking appointment for gynaecology even though I have spoken to doctor Perkins and been rung by receptionist 6 times and this has still not been received.Whilst I can understand the NHS is under pressure I just feel this is an excuse not to see anybody.
