Chenzo's Restaurant
Four of us had a fabulous meal in Chenzo’s restaurant in Uphall (near Broxburn), on Saturday 9th December. We had gorgeous mussels and garlic bread to share as a starter and the fabulous four main courses were: rib eye steak (cooked to perfection), beautiful sea bass, a tasty chicken dish and a lovely fresh pizza. All four meals had fabulous flavour and had been cooked fresh and were absolutely delicious! The owners are so lovely and friendly. Even if you don’t live nearby, it’s worth making the effort to visit this restaurant, the food is fairly priced and of exceptional quality.

We were walking around trying to find a place to eat, since it's our first time in Scotland. We wanted to walk around and explore and stop somewhere that just sounded good. We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and just HAD to go in. We were greeted immediately by the owner and he was so kind. He sat us down and gave us his daily specials, which all sounded so good! We picked our food and his wife helped serve. This couple took AND cooked our order. The ingredients were so fresh and so delicious. We are definitely coming back because we just need to try more. The owners are so wonderful. We had some amazing conversations about pretty much everything! By the way, the cheesecake literally melts in your mouth...it was THAT amazing. Thank you so much for your amazing food and service.

Fantastic food, some of the best Italian I have had. Service was very good and polite, only one employee who did everything and did a fantastic job! Will be back!

Lovely place, amazing food and great owner. Was the only one in the restaurant but atmosphere was lovely and kind, food was super quick and delicious. Got into a chat with the owner, such a nice person with a great story. Will definitely come back when in the area.

Wonderful food. The bruschetta was to die for! The owner was lovely, so polite and friendly. All the food is fresh and homemade. Extremely reasonable prices, just under £60 for 2 x 3 course meals with soft and hot drinks. Will be back for sure!

We have eaten here a few times, passing through. Always look forward to it! The food is superb. Even the simple things like the garlic bread is amazing. Would highly recommend to everyone and anyone!

Easy to find. Surprisingly quiet. Attentive and pleasant waitress. Simple menu and decor. Delicious food. Very tender, perfectly cooked rib eye, with home made Diane sauce. Great pizza garlic bread with cheese. Everything felt clean and fresh. My teenage son loved it too (he had bolognese). We plan to visit again either on our journey through the area or when we stay locally for the airport. Very reasonably priced. Paid £50/- for two inclusive of pudding and two soft drinks.

Lovely genuine Italian restaurant owned and run by the same family for many years. We were there on a quiet Tuesday night which meant we had the chance to chat whilst being served, and not forgetting enjoying our host’s cooking as well! Well prepared and presented. Not overly fancy, just good ingredients done well. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing! The food and service was superb! No joke some of the best Italian that I have eaten, and considering we were waited on and cooked for by the same person the owner deserves a lot of praise. 10/10

Fantastic food and great people running the restaurant. Sea bass was a special and looked so good that we had to try it before taking a picture. Pasta and starters excellent too - and importantly superb value! Recommended.
