Jesmond Methodist Church
Such a welcoming church, I've never been anywhere more happy to welcome new people through the doors. I have been going to this church now for 10+ years, and I can honestly say that we get better at being a welcoming community every year. Everyone at this church has completely accepted me and my wife, even supporting me throughout my gender transition. We're always interested in helping the community around the building and run events to welcome students living in Jesmond every year. We also do wonderful events in tandem with the Café next door (Café 1901).

We were there for a christening but enjoyed visiting. This church seems to be a very vibrant, diverse and welcoming congregation.

A welcoming and accepting community for everyone, regardless of belief. Jesmond is a wonderful family to be part of and the amazing work of the congregation involved makes it feel like home.

I used to attend between 2015 and 2020, it gradually started to get worse after the Wilkinson family took over. They say they accept everyone but if you've got political views different to theirs then they actively dispise you, and start to isolate you. They rave about how they help the local community but I've not seen anything apart from them spending money on their new roof and new doors. There's no freedom of speech and what they preach doesn't seem to have anything to do with Christ. I honestly wish I never went to this place, some of the most narcissistic virtue signalling people I've ever met who will sell their souls for money to get new doors for their place of worship. I say place of worship because I don't believe God has been present at this venue since early 2019 and what they preach seems to be new age stuff. If you're not a sheep or a fish then best to stay away, they don't like free thinkers.
