Long wait and poor service left a high expectation for the food, which wasn’t met for the price.Lovely venue inside and out for drinks.

Went for Sunday lunch today and was but deflated tbh. Which was pre booked.Food was okay but nothing special. Yorkshire puds were nice along with the vegetables. Hard potatoes and stuffing. As this was the first time we had been here in a while, and this is local to us we thought we would give it a go for Sunday lunch.Waited 45mins for Sunday lunch.We don't mind waiting but when people arrive after you and have their roast before you is quite disappointing.We did mention to staff, who informed us that we were next to be served.Also VERY melted ice cream for pudding, it looked like milk.Staff were very polite and helpful.At £70 for lunch and a couple of drinks it's not the cheapest but unfortunately not the best.

Very nice meal and get together in lovely setting with special company. Definitely worth another look after last night's first visit. Bit of a gem!

Our second visit to the Wheatacre White Lion for food while staying near Beccles and just like our first experience, the food was brilliant and the service was friendly! The staff are really inviting and the atmosphere is lovely. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Wheatacre White Lion
I visited for a baby shower last weekend and we all had such a lovely time. The place itself was decorated beautifully for Christmas and they were really accommodating of our baby shower rubbish (thank you staff for dealing with it all). The roast dinner was great as were the deserts. The staff were really friendly and spirited.

Was staying nearby and looking for somewhere nice for dinner to celebrate our birthdays. Being gluten free (coeliac) can sometimes make it difficult to eat out, but the choices here were lovely and the staff were very attentive.

We enjoyed our overnight stay.Service was friendly but unfortunately 2 large unbooked walk in parties arrived and we had a very long wait in restuarant ..but food was excellent and staff apologetic so still enjoyed it. It was a very hot night and a fan in room would have helped. But would stay there again .. lively, friendly and great food.

Had a fantastic meal at the White lion. Great setting and a nice feel inside the pub and restaurant. Had a superb 3 course meal which was the best I had enjoyed for some time. Fine selection of real ales too. Will certainly be returning.

Visited for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. Great service, superb food at a reasonable cost in cosy surroundings.
