Star Rowing Club
Great place to have a tea, coffee & cakes during summer and sitting outdoors. Watching the river & all rowers back & forth. It's not a fancy place, but quite relax the ambiance and welcoming.

Went upstairs for lunch. Was not disappointed! A nice little cafe, tucked away on the river, with great views. Really reasonable prices and well worth a try.

Love this club. My daughter started rowing on a holiday course here three years ago and has never looked back. The club is like a big family and has members that have been there over 50 years. It's open to everyone from 12 years old, no experience needed but it's good to be tall! The majority of us are probably over 40 years old and loving the exercise.

Lovely space, quiet and clean. Run by a local lady named Ann. Reasonable prices and yummy food served in the AM for breakfast and brunch. Currently hosting the monthly Board Game Bash run by Dungeons Dragons and Boardgames Bedford Group

Amazing coffee shop run by the most friendly staff I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Fantastic coffee and incredible views over the river. It's great watching the rowers go out on the water. Have also seen otters playing here on numerous occasions. The venue can also be rented out for evening events. Top notch all round :)

We visited here for a race event. Lovely club located right on the river. Love the floating platform which allows paddlers to get in and out of the water easily.Large storage area for the boats.. Met a couple of the club members and they love their club.

I was really impressed with the food and drinks here, a lovely place to come for breakfast or lunch, or even a drink to relax. Both the avocado bagel and the waffles were excellent and I’d highly recommend them. Also found that the prices were reasonable.

We chose a beautiful sunny day for coffee and cake on the terrace upstairs at this lovely club. Very friendly people good service and good prices. Fabulous location overlooking the river where you can relax and watch the world go by.

Star Rowing Club
Great and friendly rowing club with bonus of a cafe upstairs. I was visiting London from the USA, took train up to Bedford to meet up with a rowing friend. Ice and fog prevented a row on the water, but had a workout session on one of their many Concept2 ergo machines! Star Club was a short walk from the Swan hotel. I’ll be back to row here one day for sure!!

I don't row! Have visited on a couple of occasions for the comedy nights put on by the landlady. These have been excellent, great little venue for this event on a Sunday evening. Looking forward to the next one.
