Brilliant yard - the owner is incredibly experienced and knowledgable, the hacking is probably some of the best there is anywhere, and there are lots of friendly liveries to ride out with. Our horse couldn't be anywhere better.

I leased here before purchasing my very own Icelandic, who was born and bred here. I love this yard, none of the tensions sometimes found at other places. Excellent bio-security, knowledgeable owner and staff. I don't need to worry about getting out for the farrier, routine vet visits etc its all included in my livery. The ponies live in social groups, and love just being equine!The hacking here is second to none, there are hills and valleys, forests and trails, no road work is necessary unless you choose it. You can go for as many or as few miles as you want on hills and tracks, I never cease to marvel at the fantastic views, I feel truly honoured to be part of this community in this amazing location.To top it off we have an indoor school for winter evenings and rainy days (or serious schooling!), and because the large fields are managed by the owner there is no poo-picking!!

I have kept my horses here for several years now . It is so reassuring knowing thatthey are safe and sound if I am unable to get up for a few days or on holiday. There is always help and advice on hand along with help with the farrier and vet visits.There is no end of riding out on the hills and no need to use roads if you don't wish to. The scenery is stunning and you can make hacks out as easy or challenging as you wish.

No better place to ride off road. The expert advice available has improved my confidence and, I hope, my horse care and riding skills. Beautiful location, well cared for horses and yard. Lots of lovely riding companions. Highly recommended.

I have just recently moved my 5yr cob to here and it's such a lovely place. The owner Jill is so welcoming and always has you and your horses best interests at heart. The staff are lovely and also make you feel welcomed as are the other liveries that I have met so far. I feel I made the right decision to move here.

I bought my horse from Pentland Hills Livery and have kept him at the yard ever since! It's a lovely place, really well run and everyone is very friendly. The hacking is amazing and it's great having an indoor school for the dark winter nights.

I lease a wonderful Icelandic horse from this livery and absolutely love it! The community is very nice and welcoming. The yard is orderly and well managed with good attention to safety and bio security. The hacking is fantastic with so many off-road routes to explore and if the weather is atrocious I can always have a quick ride in the indoor school. All around a great place for the horses and riders.

From the tops of the hills to the snaking river, to the moorlands and the tracks, from the buzzards to the hares and from the deer to the sheep and from the right of way to the old drove road, how lucky are we to ride here.And what a great bunch of liveries and excellent support for our horses if needed.
