NO 1 PHD

Really poor customer service: they initially did a job for me which was not completed to satisfaction. It was rectified, but more than a month later involving 5 no-shows. (They booked me in when no plumber was available). Aggressive when requesting payment, not that concerned with asking if I was happy with the remedial work. Wouldn’t use again.

Very Punctual and professional. Replacement of a kitchen tap already purchased by me. James had to get parts from Local Merchants and then he replaced the tap, checked it worked thorough and job done. He took the old tap and copper pipes connections for recycling. Excellent and highly recommend this Company for an excellent service and James for his professionalism.

Well, that wasn't a great experience. A gentleman came, advised a complicated, expensive design - the other tradesmen may cut corners, but we are a serious company, you see - went away, and never came back with an actual quote. An email chase went unanswered. (12 days and counting). I gave up and had the job done by a different company.UPD. To the company's credit, they left a voicemail offering to explain. (An email - maybe reply to" the unanswered email of mine? - would be even better)."

We hadn't used No 1 PHD before, but were very pleased with the service. The phone call was answered quickly by a real operator, an appointment was made for the next day and the engineer arrived on time. The problem was analysed and repaired quickly at a reasonable price and the tap was immeditaely working .We will definitely use them again.

One star only because you cant give none - Customer service is not a priority for this business so do not expect a great experience - we booked a plumber visit for a reasonably quick job which was impacting a whole series of other works that we were undertaking in our home. After moving the considerable amount of furniture to enable the activities to be carried out we were called the day before our scheduled appointment to see if we could rearrange to the following day due to the plumber's current job overrunning - while not ideal we agreed as we need the work done - told that the plumber would call ahead to let us know he/she was on way - we arranged our work schedules (and took holiday) to accommodate this - needless to say mid afternoon no call made and we chased - call centre said plumber's job was overrunning in Bristol but might possibly make it to us (unlikely at it was 3.30pm!!) - plumber (not they) would call. No communication remainder of day, nothing Saturday but promised would arrive Monday at latest - Monday lunchtime no message, no indication of any likely arrival - called company - no apology, no interest in resolving, no care for the inconvenience caused, job therefore cancelled - individual at company not bothered in the slightest- avoid this company like the plague - why they have a call centre I have no idea as they leave everything to the plumber to arrange - if their attitude to customer service is representative of the quality of the work I might have dodged a bullet. I will be surprised given how they have handled my booking they even care to respond such is their contempt for their customers

Polite and helpful on the telephone, as was Alex the engineer who came to unblock my drain. It was necessary to put a camera down because the pipe run was not as I thought. He discovered from below that there was a manhole, unhelpfully under the kitchen floor, which could not therefore be accessed. He fixed the blockage and also gave me a quotation to replace the gully and eliminate the useless manhole.

Booked a few days ago then they called the night before they were due to say they couldn't come due to jobs over running. Had already taken the day off and at 5pm when they called was too late too change. They should only book if they can actually go through with appointment.

The two young gentlemen that came to unblock our outside drain were most polite and courteous. The job was done in just over 30 mknutes to a very high standard. I would certainly use your company again should the occasion arise.

Avoid!!!! Took £4,200 from my 79 year old mother in September. The issue was not fully resolved. She had been trying to get them to revisit the issue ever since. They just don’t care enough to even turn up when they say they will. Her toilet still won’t flush properly. Abysmal service and extortionate charges.

Andy and his apprentice were excellent. They arrived on time and got stuck into the job. Andy was thorough and explained everything. He really helped me with a situation I was finding difficult…not all hero’s wear capes. Would highly recommend.
