I bought a birthday cake for my daughter Maria today, I was very disappointed as the sponge was not as fresh as usual. Cake cost £39.00, i dont normally have an issue with this shop but today i have. I don't think that I will be in a hurry to get another one from there.

I bought 4 slices of cake on 11th of October for my sister's birthday, one of them had a mouldy strawberry on it. And the other fruits on the cake tasted off. We often get cake from here, very disappointed this time. If you buy cake from here and it has fruit make sure you check it first

Absolutely rubbish customer service and attitude from the lady that runs this place. Just look at her response to the review below. She responded to feedback about poor customer service by saying 'I am sure the customer service was on point and the person was very knowledgable about cakes'Save your time money and go to another branch.

Cakes are always fresh and delicious. The customer service at this shop in particular is outstanding. Susan is so friendly, patient and hardworking. It’s always a pleasure to see her when we’re in the mood for a cake; we get quality conversation for free!

Dear Owner, thank your for your reply. You probably prepared the slices in different flavors, but the sponge and cream themselves were not fresh. I can 100% guarantee that. I am a baker myself and know exactly when the cake tastes sour and has a bad smell. And that's the case every time, otherwise I'm not the kind of person who leaves negative feedback. And if someone does it, it's better for you to know where to improve, so you don’t loose a customer again.Thank you.

I always order in cake box but this time when I had ordered a chocolate spongy cake the sponge was a bit harder. I don’t think the chocolate sponge was freshly made. Very disappointed with cake box. I wasn’t expecting this from them .
