Visited on Tuesday night. Warm welcome from staff. The food while a little more than some places is more than worth it. Great choice on the menu. Both myself and my guest thought the food was exceptional. Will be returning again.

what can I say I've eaten in lots of Asian restaurants over the years and this place is top notch for decor and the service is very good and attentive but let's get down to the nitty gritty food . Six of us dined and we began with poppadoms and dips £6.00 each and I must say I was a little disappointed they were small . dips were tiny and overall I thought weren't good value I've been to many places where they were much bigger lots more dips and were complimentary the mains I plumped for the equivalent of a chicken madras with nan bread again the curry itself had few pieces of chicken and nothing much else it was as spicy as I expected but I felt was missing something the nan bread again was small and thin so I dunno I expected great things and left slightly deflated would I visit again I'm not sure would I recommend again I'm not sure it wasn't overly expensive I've had much better from less assuming places and maybe slightly cheaper let's say if someone asked me to go here for a meal I wouldn't be overly excited!

Had a really good meal here on a Saturday night. Group of 9 of us, we pre ordered and everything went smoothly. Very friendly service, fantastic food!! Would recommend highly!

Very tasty, amazing food, healthy portions, and attentive service, I went full on Nepalese from starter through to desert. The Nepalese lager Everest, and Gurkha hit the spot. Very reasonably priced for a group of 6. Would definitely recommend. Free Parking available 30-40 yards away.

First time I had visited The Yak and will absolutely be going back. The restaurant is set back from the high street in a lovely place and inside was a beautiful setting. The food was amazing with the choice of Nepalese or their twist on an Indian. I had the lamb starter which was delicious and the Piro curry which is a madras strength. The tastes were incredible. The staff and the atmosphere at The Yak were great, just what you expect from a nice restaurant which you don't always get. Great experience, great food, great staff, great place and would highly recommend. They even bought me a cake and candle for my birthday which we didn't ask for!!

We attended the Yak on 19/8/23 on the recommendation of a trusted friend who has been here before, unfortunately I felt the food here is massively overpriced, plus we had to wait nearly 2 hours from entering the the restaurant to receiving our mains, we stated what time we need to be away when we arrived as we had a wedding party to attend. After the long awaited pretty average meal the manager was argumentative to my friend who raised the issue, my friends is a regular diner and the restaurant reluctantly gave us a 10% off the bill, to which the waitress at the till commented “you’re lucky to get that”! Wow, what a cheek!?! we’ll she’s lucky we didn’t just walk out and refuse to pay anything!Needless to say we won’t be going again and I’d advise all to be mindful of what happen to us. The Black Country curry scene used to be good value for money and fantastic service…oh howIt has changed for the worse.

Oh my! I had spinach and potato dish. The flavour was insanely delicious. Hubby ordered puro (spelling?) chicken. Absolutely delicious food. Great service and restaurant immaculate

A wonderful restaurant. From the inviting decor, the lovely aroma as you near the building and the kind, friendly staff, to the delicious food, I loved all of it! Tonight was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last!
