Lowry Outlet

Went on Saturday afternoon. A bustling market with a great mix of around 30 stall's outside the entrance of the shopping centre. Inside was very quiet. Decent amount of outlets. Nice and clean. Food court upstairs, carpark downside. I'll go again probably more so for the outdoor market.

Dire. Went today ( a Saturday) for the first time in a couple of years and 95% of the shop units were closed. Only Next (hardly any men’s clothes), M&S (hardly any men’s clothes) and rip off Tessuti for clothes now, plus cadburys and a couple of others. Shame as it used to be great.

Found a space in the carpark then it's quick n easy to get from there to the shops, via lift or stairs.

I've never known about the Lowry Hotel before. Therefore, assumed it would be at Salford Quays. Big mistake with the taxi on their side. Eventually, got there to the event. Event was enjoyable in the reasonable sized room but not much selection at the bar as in ciders, alcopops, etc. Only common spirits and beers and usual chasers. Silver service staff were attentive and accommodating.

We went there on a weekday. Was not at all busy. Outlets were good, we got some good bargain deals. Outlets have moderate to low stock on many items we needed. Parking was spacious for an SUV than standard congested spaces in UK. Canteen was good, (except the boyIn Subway was in a careless mood and had trouble in understanding customer needs. We managed with what we got). Overall, for the outlets, we will visit this place again, this is well located near a water body, we haven’t got time to explore outside the shopping mall, good place to walk around. Has access to Tram as well. Hoping to explore more in next visit.

As a motorbike rider, I actually called the customer service number for the Lowry outlet and asked if parking were available for motorbikes.I was led to believe that it is and that she'd call through to security to get me in, after which I could get a ticket to pay for parking. I even gave an estimated ETA as to when I'll be arriving.However, the automated barriers don't cater for motorbikes. I tried the entrance on the bus/quay side and couldn't get in, I didn't realise at the time there was an assistance button, so I made a really awkward U-turn and tried the other entrance round the corner, where the roundabouts are.Same problem here, so I called through to customer service again, explained the situation and she assured me, she will contact security again to lift the barriers,I turned around to get to the right barrier and called service again who said 'they'll be ringing down shortly', after a short wait I hear a voice coming from the box who said I can just walk the bike round - my bike isn't small enough to fit round the barrier.Finally, a representative appeared and radioed through, this barrier was lifted.I did visit the customer service area after parking up and I was given a one time exit card and apologies for the inconvenience, which, I wasn't expecting tbh, I was expecting to pay, like everyone else.Anyway, I conclude my visit, get back on my bike, only to find that the exit card I have doesn't appear to work. So, I call through for assistance and was greeted by a thoroughly confused staff member, asking me questions about all the above. After a back and forth, I suggested I call through to customer service again and the voice suggested not to worry and opened the barrier.I would suggest, the system in-place be more accommodating to motorbikes or at least an awareness on security on how to handle them, if in fact it is acceptable as customer service suggests for motorbikes to park in the multi-storey, just seems very disconnected.Customer service was great btw, security manning the barrier, not so much, cars were queuing whilst I was trying to get in and I had to turn around once, causing confusion for other drivers.

Some big brands available like Clarkes, M&S, Next and Claire’s. Food Court near Cinema is not the best but will suffice for a quick pit stop. Better quality restaurants available towards the Lowry Theatre and media studios. Pleasant day out nonetheless.

Been today for the makers and Christmas markets...wished I had not bothered. Arrived to very few stalls being manned and even some of them were packing up and leaving at just gone 12. If the market was not fully open or had been cancelled a bit of warning would have been good. There were loads of people there for the markets and I am sure that's like myself will not be coming back. Do not advertise what you cannot provide.

The Lowry Outlet has a number of shops that change around often. There are cafes here and bathrooms. There is a connected multistory car park - that costs reasonable prices. Most of the shops are wheelchair accessible with open entrances and wide aisles. Some have narrower aisles.
