Visited October 2023: the building is breathtaking. Vaulted ceilings and marble work, it’s a massive venue and looks stunning. The food is normal for an ASK. What frustrates me is this service charge- this isn’t America, staff are paid well but on top of that, ASK have an app where you can order it all yourself and therefore don’t have any interaction with staff beyond them bringing your food so for them to then have a charge on top is laughable. We paid by the app and it wouldn’t let you remove the optional service charge which is unacceptable you could only edit how much you have but you had to give SOMETHING so changed it to a single penny but I’m even annoyed I had to give that tbh. Increase your prices if you want a service charge that’s mandatory.This location is not wheelchair accessible, there are lots of steps at the entrance but despite being in a wheelchair my mum managed to get me up all of them.

The wow factor that you get from the Assembly Rooms setting makes a visit to ASK a little more special at this time of year. Food was good, servers were a bit busier than usual, but a pleasant and relaxed visit.

Lovely meal and all staff were very friendly. The building inside is so elegant, it used to be a ballroom that my parents went to in the 50s.

Place is looking stunning. They really impressed me with their service. We ordered online. Food arrived fast. Home made pasta was great.

A lovely atmosphere to the resteraunt in a stunning location. The food was good quality, although poorly presented and lacking in portion sizes. The waiting staff where attentive, however upon payment and splitting of the bill there became quite abit of confusion and I would suggest maybe more training in this particular area.

Wow. Such a beautiful and romantic restaurant. I had very nice, icy lemonade which cost me less than £3 per small bottle. I skipped starters. For main, I had prawn and crayfish tagliatelle which was really yummy. I finished my meal with very light mini tiramisu slices, Italian gelato and waffle base in my £6.95 tiramisu sundae.

Went as a couple on a Monday for lunch. Used my taste card so got a nice saving. Stunning building, excellent service. Chocolate gnocchi was delicious!

fast, friendly and efficient waitresses. i would recommend the fresh pasta. it was so tasty. as well as the homemade raspberry lemonade. the venue left me speechless, when step inside, you’ll know what i mean!

Had dinner here, the food was very tasty. The venue was beautiful and felt really posh. Staff were lovely and service was extremely fast. Would happily return.

A chain restaurant is never going to be totally mind blowing food wise, but certainly does the job and caters for everyone (very vegan friendly!) with affordable and tasty food. The building itself however really is mind blowing for an Ask!
