Cathy and Rob were so helpful in getting us our first home. As first time buyers we needed a lot of help deciphering the information from solicitors, sales agents and banks and they were always at hand to explain everything in lay man's terms.They helped reassure us along the way and made the process of buying so much easier and we felt we were in good hands with someone we could trust.We had an initial video consultation with Cathy and Rob discussing our situation and in about 4 months we were in our home! Very sadly having to change my prior glowing review of Stadden Forbes. While the initial consultation and conversations were very positive and reassuring, things changed drastically in recent months. First, the communications faltered, specifically with emails going unanswered until prompted by a call. But the cause for me to revise my review is in losing several thousand pounds on account on Stadden Forbes. While consulting on mortgage rates I'd found through my then lender, I was asked to let them submit the paperwork for the agreed rate (so to get a commission). However, it was only several weeks later, after numerous chase-ups, that I realised it hadn't been done; and the rate I had found had been removed. I agreed to let them proceed with the then best rate and was assured I would be made whole on the loss due to their error. And then.... nothing. Again, chasing up only led to the occasional vacant promise of making good. And then more missteps on the back of more ignored emails, to the point when I stated that we should part ways; even this message was met with no response. An apology costs nothing, certainly far less than the losses Stadden Forbes incurred for me. But even that simple courtesy seems too much a challenge. What a shame....

I have worked with Stadden Forbes for years now on my personal wealth management. So knowledgeable, endlessly patient with my layman's questions - and very easy way of explaining all of my options without making me feel stupid. Very resourceful financial advisors, Robert and his team have found the perfect solution for me and my family on numerous occasions. Highly recommend them!

6 years ago we were struggling to find a lender who could provide a suitable mortgage. The brokers we had used were just not up to the job and a waste of time. And then we found Robert Forbes. He was amazing. With his knowledge and experience he was able to quickly find and secure a great mortgage at a good rate. Our situation was slightly more complicated than most but Robert helped us easily navigate the process. We have used Stadden Forbes ever since. They are friendly, professional and most of all good at what they do. Recently we managed to re-fix our mortgage rate early, just before the base rate went up saving us thousands.I can highly recommend Robert and his team. They will always be the first people I speak to about any financial decisions.

I cannot recommend Stadden Forbes WM enough. Cathy and Rob guided us through the minefield of buying our first home, and went above and beyond what was required. From demystifying the jargon to getting us an incredible mortgage and even keeping our solicitors in check, if it wasn't for Cathy and Rob, we would not have our home.They're honest and trustworthy, give great advice, keep you calm and are the essential 'adults' you need when buying a first home. I have recommended them to several friends and will definitely use their services again in the future.

Updated June 2023:Cathy and Robert were very responsive and helpful, and answered all my numerous questions at the beginning. They were also very kind.However, in hindsight they made an error which I mean that I cannot honestly say I would recommend them as mortgage brokers. Please note, haven't tried any of their other financial services.I was originally going to need a bigger loan for a mortgage as I wanted to buy a bigger flat. Cathy and Robert offered me a mortgage product at 2.X% interest rate due to the amount I was borrowing. I then decided to go for a less expensive flat, which would've meant a smaller loan. However, they did not re-run the mortgage product searches again, until I expressly prompted them. I mentioned a deal I'd heard through another broker that was £200-300 cheaper a month because of a lower interest rate for the amount loaned. I believe I could have potentially been paying an uncompetitive interest rate had I not asked for the searches to be run again.But it's worth saying that they aren't dedicated mortgage specialists and it's not the only thing they do. It might have just been an oversight but a potentially expensive one.

Changing mortgage can be a time consuming and sometimes challenging process and it’s something I have always put off. But the team at Stadden Forbes were brilliant. It was effortless, quick and we got a great deal. Would thoroughly recommend and will be using them again.
