If you want pipe tobacco, this is the place to go. The shop has a wonderful old fashioned atmosphere, not least from the aroma of proper tobacco. This comes in jars and is weighed out to order. The proprietor is helpful. Tell him what you smoke and he will suggest what else you might enjoy.

Old traditional shop, friendly service and a good place to buy single cigars. Multiple other tobacco products also available. Back in the day they had what looked like a green 'No Smoking' sign that instead said 'Feel Free to Smoke', and they meant it.

Brilliant service from the owner. Very helpful sorting me out with one of the beginner" stonehaven pipes and various other kit. He recommended me a great cherry tobacco that I love. Having recently took up the pipe smoking hobby I am glad there is someone in Aberdeen to suggest new tobaccos. I also bought a couple of cigars. I would highly recommend the Nicaraguan (luis martinez comes to mind). Highly recommend

A breath of fresh air!Truly a smoker's oasis. Indeed, it's the only place in Aberdeen where one is able to buy good mini cigars and quality pipe tobacco.The shop has a good range of pipe tobacco blends available as well as some lovely pipes on sale. Pipe tobacco can also be bought in grams which makes it much easier for one to try different blends of tobacco without having to spend too much money.The shop is nicely kept and one always feels like stepping into the Victorian era when one opens the front door and is greeted by the wonderful smell of aromatic tobacco. The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful.The range of mini cigars available is acceptable but still slightly disappointing. The same could be said in regard to the pipes on sale.Nonetheless, this shop is truly a smoker's oasis in a city which, otherwise, is not very friendly towards those who enjoy smoking pipe tobacco and cigars.I cannot recommend this shop highly enough! It's a pipe smoker's only refuge in Aberdeen.

My husband and I happened upon Herbert Love a few months ago now when we visited Aberdeen for the day. My husband is new to the world of pipes and very much enjoyed his visit. The shop itself is beautiful and I could spend a long time just looking at his stock and decorations around the walls, not to mention the tobacco hanging. (so cool!) The shop owner is a very kind, decent man with a wealth of knowledge, which for us, was just great to ask an abundance of questions. We don't often go to Aberdeen but we would go back just to visit Herbert Love again. Thanks for your kindness and great service.

Excellent shop with very reasonable prices. Loads of different pipe tobaccos and cigars. The owner is a proper gentleman. It was my first visit but I will definitely be buying my pipe tobacco there instead of online from now on. Highly recommended.
