Lots of staff, very difficult to get eye contact with them but the ones that did were very friendly,food was nice , didn't have to wait too long

Lovely location, right by the river.Relaxed vibe, with an acoustic guitarist playing. Lovely place for a drink. Unfortunately our experience was ruined by an hour wait for fish and chips and gammon. The food has obviously been left for a while as the egg was dried up and solid. The replacement was little better, the batter on the fish was soggy.Potentially lovely time out was ruined by bad food and poor service. The staff did apologize, but was too late.Sorry for the 2 stars, but they could achieve so much better.

The place is extremely attractive because of unusual place on the side of the river just near the bridge,furthermore I did enjoy the fireplace outdoor,where you an sit with the family or friends and enjoy time even in a cold weather but you won't get cold as fireplace get you warm.

This is the sort of place that you can hang around in all day if you have the time, we wanted to find a Riverside cafe that was dog friendly and this was better than we were expecting to find. Outside fire, undercover outdoor seating. Cake was nice.

Amazing riverside location with lots of outdoor seating (where white canopy is shown on photo).They often have live music which can be a little loud but creates a lovely atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon.Lovely coffee & cake selection and a bar available. Inside is cosy looking and food choice appears good so will be returning to try something from the main menu.Toilets nice & clean & staff always very friendly.

We booked online just in case. When we got there it took me 20 minutes to get the attention of a member of staff, all of who seemed to be doing nothing but chat to each other. One waitress said just sit anywhere, so we did. We checked out the menu and went up to order (all within 5 minutes) and were told actually they’re closing now so we need to go next door upstairs. Not sure why it let me book online for this time then. Upstairs in left bank was the same, we chose from the menus on the table, went to order to be told those ones are for later and to use a different menu. When I went to order the food again there were 8 people behind the bar, none acknowledged me. I asked if I could order to an older female, she said “oh, he will do it” and she wandered further up the bar. This young chap obviously didn’t want to work either, he acted as though an urgent message was coming through his headset and walked off too. Two other gentleman then came to the bar and were served before me as they just belted out their drinks orders. I was left waiting still and so we left.I have NEVER been anywhere that has such poorly trained and unwilling staff!What a disappointment, I won’t be back.I would recommend to anyone that they avoid this place unless you literally just want a pint and are willing to shout at someone to get one
