Crawley Driving Test Centre

Awful experience, won’t be booking my next test here. The examiners put pressure on you towards the end, making it increasingly difficult for you to drive well, my examiner called Dean also made rude and smug comments at the end of the test, even though I had tried my best effort. Avoid.

Took the test early in the morning, it was rushy, never practiced the route, roundabouts near the centre are bit confusing, u must know about the lanes to keep in the proper lane, reading the reviews really made me confused but i got an examiner named Simon. What a man, really composed and helpful. He didnt let the anxiety to overcome. We didnt talk much, he kept everything calm and clear, He did not throw any instructions on me and kept on guiding the route way earlier (in time properly).You would be lucky if you get him as an examiner, and it would be totally your fault if u miss/fail. After the test he guided me about the things to improve in my driving. I Passed the test.

Reading the reviews here made me incredibly nervous...my advice would be to ignore them. The test centre is full of staff that are truly amazing. The examiners are fair and really kind. I had a lovely examiner who put my mind at ease and congratulated me with genuine happiness after I passed.It is a brilliant test centre. Overall I had a wonderful experience.

I didn't pass my exam because of nerves and distraction due to work related issues. But I want to share it was the most pleasant experience of all my attempts (not the first time I can't make it). Examiner was friendly, polite, helpful, professional and did it very well, it felt the outcome was as upsetting for him as it was for me. Must be quite a hard job to do it every day.

I've just passed my test at Crawley after a second attempt both Times I had Jeff as the examiner he made me feel calm during the test he was very friendly and most human examiner I've experienced he gave me some great advice as a full licence holder

Worst driving test centre there is out there, the examiners are all grumpy they look for any reason to fail you each time I failed my driving test me and both my instructor disagreed with the serious fault’s. The stats say it all Crawley driving test centre is the worst out there don’t waste your £62. They really need to fresh staff, absolutely miserable all them or shut the centre down!

Really surprised by the number of appalling reviews! My experience today at Crawley DC was wholly positive. Despite my nerves, the examiner was calm, empathic and encouraging. He did his best to put me at ease and ensured I understood the directions. Considering these examiners assess up to 7 people a day, and wear body cameras to protect them from aggressive and abusive behaviour, I was blown away with how calm and present he was throughout the test, and his ease in helping me to feel calm and safe. He was able to quickly note down my key areas for development, and offer me constructive feedback for the future. Thank you D and the Crawley team. The 7th of December 2023, I had a student go for a Driving Test who suffers very badly with slow processing disorder when booking the driving test.
