Having dealt with Dr Lewis for a few years now I found him to be a good listener to my health concerns and his response has always been appropriate. A Dr who is clear and doesn’t bet about the bush, who is considerate, transparent and approachable with a patient disposition and very supportive, is hard to find, especially in my surgery. I just want to say thank you Dr Lewis, I am immensely grateful to you as I know you are under tremendous pressure but if it wasn’t for you I don’t quiet know what my outcome would have been. Gaynor

8 months to be referred for an allergy test. I don’t know what I can eat and what not.Having called 3 different hospitals it appears that my referral was never made despite the surgery saying it was.Impossible to reach on the phone as the option numbers do not work when tapping them on keyboard.Poor patient care

I second previous reviewers on the issues - impossible to get through, the telephone system is designed to cut people off or designed to put people off. It often takes hours (not minutes!) to get through to anyone - to be told that you are not priority" and that reception staff will do doctor's job and tell you how to treat your condition. The worst GP practice I have seen. Reception staff are patronising and belittling patients. They really have no idea what good customer service looks like. I pay taxes that go towards NHS but end up having to go for private consultations or treatment because I can't even get through to anyone and if I do

I'm puzzled why they offer an online appointment service, I've never once managed to make one. Just the message sorry, not available, just like last year when I tried. Upon phoning I was told I was 16th in the queue, which I still was 5 minutes later. Think I'll give up on this practice and take my chances with the walk in centre. I'm pretty understanding but it's very hard to leave positive reviews for a service you can neveruse.

Really frustrating experience with reception and secretarial staff. I need a fit note for work after being off sick. Rang reception first thing Monday morning, they would not give me an appointment and told me to complete online consult form. I did that and all I got was a text from the secretarial team telling me to self-certify. That's no use to me as I've been off sick for more than 7 days. I rang to clarify and the secretary kept repeating about self-certififying (what?) then blamed reception and eventually told me I need a doctor's appointment. Then what was the online consult for? Surely the point of that was for a doctor to ring me, which is what I needed all along.Just feel like I've been given the run-around by all parties, instead of just getting an essential service from my GP surgery which is one of the key things they need to be able to offer their patients. Some individual members of staff here are lovely, but there seems to be a lot of poor admin and unhelpful advice. If you need a fit note I strongly recommend not using the online consult but insisting you speak to a doctor.

Re; your reply, you obviously didn’t read what I put - this is NOT me waiting a long time and putting the phone down, this is your phones set to Cut people off! I’m very happy to wait an hour+ if needs be yet I’m not even given that option. I finally got a phone appointment via 111 and this has now been cancelled without notice or reason given. These are NOT covid19 issues. How patronising to suggest I don’t know to try at different times as well when it’s now been a month. Please sort the phones out!Have to sit through that looooong message every time only to be cut off after 10 seconds of an engaged tone. I’ve been trying to book an appointment for 3 weeks (that a GP requested I book) after blood test results and can’t get even through!

It is not easy to get someone on the phone in the morning but apart from that, all people I talked to or met there were considerate and efficient. Attentive nurses, companionate GPs and helpful receptionists make me feel well supported. I just wanted to say thank you to all the St Thomas health center’s staff.

I have had to use the St Thomas Medical Centre in the last few weeks and I must say the Reception staff have been welcoming and helpful. I can't fault them. A Reception member named Jackie went 'over and above' in sorting out a few queries for me and another member of staff on Reception last week also referred me to the Prescribing Nurse who was most helpful. Well done Reception staff - there's a smile back on our faces! One happy St Thomas patient saying Keep it up!".We also managed to get our Covid and Flu jabs by chance without fuss! Thank you."

What is the problem with this health centre? Reception staff lovely that I have spoken to very understanding professional but try & see a doctor face to face ok if you don't mind waiting weeks but then that can be cancelled at any time my father is at south lawn terrace what a difference no problems there at all totally different I used to be at a different practice but quite a few years ago I was told I had to register at St Thomas I really didn't want to but had no choice I very rarely go to the doctors is it any wonder I just don't understand it.
