Visited on the light switch on. Clearly the staff had underestimated how busy it was going to be as there was only 4 staff on with a completely full pub lots of dirty tables and food taking 45 mins to come out partly because there was only one person working the floor. No issues with the staff that served me and the drinks and food were fine.

Oh dear. What a disappointment. The last time we came here it was great. How things have changed. You are recommended to use the App to order your food and drink so we did. Very easy to use. After ordering we waited about 20 minutes to be told that using the App the food would be about an hour! We should have ordered at the bar it would have been quicker! Then the first rip off. Ordered 2 large cokes. When they arrived there was so much ice that we estimate about a third of the glass was drinkable. (See photo) paid a lot of money for frozen water. Then when the food arrived it was almost thrown down. We asked for condiments and were pointed to a table next to us where a half filled condiment tray was placed. I wanted salt and there was none to be found. Eventually we were offered a salt pot with no lid! Unbelievable! (See photo). So very disappointed. Won't be going back here in a hurry!

Popped in for a little snack and was pleasantly surprised with the refurbishment of the pub. The service was quick and food was very delicious. Ordered a chicken sub, but they ran out if sub so had a wrap instead. I will return for food again.

Gorgeous nibbles and fantastic service highly recommend this pub. Food was perfect crispy bbq chicken wings jus right amount of sauce.. Mac n cheese bites were perfect and Katsu chips was sooo tasty. Definatley be back :) thank you

Took my son for lunch today. The food was very good but we waited well over 20 minutes when it wasn't even busy. Also, the food wasn't hot when we got it, more lukewarm. Still, it was very tasty and good value. The barman was very polite and helpful (10/10 for service) and the atmosphere was pleasant. What knocks it down for me are the gents toilets- they are disgusting and more attention needs to be paid to keeping them clean. Overall, would definitely come back and would recommend it for a budget bite to eat.

Ordered a chicken tikka, the tikka tasted watery and more like bolognese, it came with no rice so the amazing waiter/ manager? Asked if I wanted chips, the coke was good but then I started to eat, noticed the TINY pita bread and it was cold, the chicken was undercooked and so I spat it out and asked for a refund, the waiter was amazing but damn!!

We visited this pub many times and the ratio quality-price is great and the best in Bridgwater. We had the mac and cheese and the cheese and bacon burger. Service is always really quick and you can order from the app which makes things really easy.They hold pub quizzes every Thursday and display almost every football match they can. Easy booking system ti get your table reserved.Areas for improvement: sometimes the soft drinks especially coke zero comes with too much ice and tasteless. This is probably because it is the bottom of the barrel but please have a look at this because it makes a huge difference.

Slight delay on the food, due to short staff but that's no ones fault and can't be helped, the staff were amazing about it, and gave us a free round, which was good of them. Food was really nice. The delay just gave us longer to have a natter so was all good. Will definitely be going back.

Two of us came into the Cornhill Pub just shortly before 12pm, fairly quiet it seemed there were 3 managers on shift, standing round one table, and 2 staff members. We had ordered food a few minutes after we came in, I ordered through the app and the other ordered at the bar. I waited 40 minutes before getting my food, which was simply a mac and cheese. My partners food came 20 minutes before mine did, which was the 3-bean burger - the wooden stick that holds the burger together was stabbed all the way through, and wasn’t visible at the top. It was a good job my partner took apart the burger, otherwise it would’ve become a choking hazard. The pub itself looked nice, but the food and the wait times at a fairly quiet time let it down. We will not be returning in a rush.

Busy during Bridgwater carnival but we'll set up for it with plenty of bar staff. Dint have to wait too long and the staff were busy but freindly. Good range of beers and ciders. Food looked good but the wait was over an hour if you hadn't booked in advance so we just had a drink.
