National Trust - The Old Coastguard Station
Popped in while waiting for tide to go out a bit. Had a quick look around upstairs then enjoyed some very excellent pasties and coffee in the cafe downstairs. The small interpretive centre upstairs was interesting and informative. The cafe got very busy shortly after we arrived. There were binoculars available at the tables by the windows. Toilets are available only for cafe customers and you need to request the key.

Lovely little cafe . Really nice cakes and scones. Dog friendly which is a bonus. The 2 young ladies serving were quick, efficient and very friendly. Would definitely come again

The town itself is decent but not superb, however the coastline footpath to Whitby is very lovely to walk through.

Called Friday 20th Oct during Storm Babette.Thank you for being open!!Warm and cosy cafe. Lovely staff. Terrific sea views from the little front windows. Even some binoculars for customer use.Interesting information around the room too.Remember to show staff your National Trust cards so that the cafe can receive some funding!

National Trust - The Old Coastguard Station
This is a beautiful place to visit. Its a hotel now but the location is stunning. Its a 15-20 minute walk from the top of Robin hoods bay. Alternatively it can be seen immediately on entering the village off the Cleveland way, as I did. Lots of shops and plenty of bars and restaurants to. A regular bus service runs between Robin hoods bay and whitby, Scarborough, Ravenscar and Middlesborough. The bus stop is at the top of the village near the car park.

National Trust - The Old Coastguard Station
Exhibition was closed when we visited, sadly, so it's difficult to say what this would be like. Information boards downstairs tell the stories around the town, it's smuggling heritage and other points of interest. Small cafe serving the usual NT fare.

Nice cake and coffee and friendly staff. Even binoculars by the small windows for you to look out to sea. National Trust so you can’t go wrong and if you are a member scan your card so they may get extra funding.

Good place to stop for a coffee fight on the sea wall. Plenty if history. The loft is let it by the national Trust and is a great base for exploring the area in just to relax and enjoy the view
