Came out to repair small hole in roof, despite charging £250 for 15 mins work, leak is still there, despite many calls and him promising to return and repair, he hasn’t done, would not recommend!Update - has been back in contact and been too busy to return so has refunded half of the cost.

I had a leaking problem with a velux window and was quoted £800 to replace the seals in both windows. It was stated that the seals from Velux were very expensive. When they came to do the job, it was found that the seals were OK, but the channels were blocked with moss etc. All that needed to be done was clean the channel and clear the roof of moss and debris. Also cleaned out the gutters. No parts purchased but still wanted to charge almost the same as quoted for seal replacement.Lead flash needed some work, so replaced a small section of lead and sealed the lead in the brickwork.I was then told that the pointing on the ridge tiles was in need of being repointed, which I accepted as needed done and agreed to the work.In total they were at my property for less than 3 hours, 3 people to start with but down to 2 after an hour.Minimal purchase of materials (small piece of lead, mortar and sealant) but the bill was £1200 that is £400 an hour .I felt pressurised and intimidated into paying this excessive bill and believe that I have been grossly overcharged for the work carried out. I am very annoyed with myself for allowing this overcharge for the work.I think I will talk to Trading Standards next week.In the meanwhile, based on my experience, I would not recommend this company or Everday Roofing Company which seems to be a trading nameUpdate 15 July 2023.The heavy rain has been a good test of the velux windows and to be fair the cleaning out seems to have solved the water ingress problem. However, the repairs to a gutter joint at the garage were ineffective and I had to fix it myself to stop the dripping.The repair to the lead flashing, on closer inspection is nothing less than cowboy work especially in view of the totally excessive charge made for the work.There is now a big hole between the side of the roof and the tiles / rear wall, with part of the plastic edging for the roof tiles lying on the floor and a large hole where flashing should cover evident. They must have known that there was a big hole left in the roof tile edging and that they had broken the tile edging.Clearly this hole will allow the ingress of water.They didn't rectify the problem or even pick up the broken pieces of plastic. The repair work on the last foot of the lead flashing is also substandard.As I said before I found the guys, especially the boss (Mark?) very intimidation, they didn't give me proper quotes even as the number and type of job increased and changed from the original discussion the evening before.

Unresponsive and would NOT provide a correct invoice stating what they had done, despite the promise to do so. I would not use them again and advise anyone thinking of using them to think carefully and choose someone else.

Can't fault the service and would definitely use again and recommend.
