Currys

I visited the Strathkelvin retail park in Bishopbriggs today. I visited the Currys store to buy an iron. I visited the Home Bargains store and bought some cheaply priced good quality kitchen rolls. Then last of all visited M&S food hall for some quality food for my evening dinner. Currys store staff seemed a little unfriendly. Felt quite uncomfortable. Home Bargains staff was very friendly and polite. Really enjoyed that visit at Home Bargains. I felt at home. M&S, mmm, staff at till wasn't friendly at all. Didn't enjoy going Currys or M&S food hall. Being a Pakistani and dressed in my culture dress seems to be the problem here. Racism still exists sadly which is very obvious. Born here in Glasgow UK, but nothing has changed regarding some peoples behaviour and attitude. Not a happy Currys & M&S customer. Despite so much business we give but we are still hated in this country by some people and not all.

We bought a bean to cup coffee machine, and Curry's gave us 5 months free Apple tv. When we tried to redeem it, this failed, and we gave up as it looked like Apple was going to charge us. More Apples fault than Curry's but if you make an offer, you should make sure it is easy to redeem.

Popped in to pick up a laptop, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They did keep trying to upsell me things but weren't too pushy with it

Attentive and helpful staff, very knowledgeable of the products they sell and are always very happy to help.We went in a few times to drop off years worth of electronics after a big clear out.

Dawn was absolutely lovely when assisting us, she really went above and beyond. I got what I was looking for with excellent customer service.

Went in to return a TV which was completely brand new, seal still on, packaged up as new. Returns policy stated we could return this no problem as it hadn’t been used. Sales assistant told us he couldn’t accept it as it couldn’t be resold as new - which it could be as it wasn’t touched. He didn’t even open it up to inspect it. Rang customer service and they advised us we could return it, as it states online. Went to the Hamilton branch who returned it no problem. Waste of time and really dismissive sales assistant. Staff definitely need to be taught about returns policies and how to speak to their customers.

Despite the delivery driver telling me that my fridge freezer would be exchanged if it didn't fit, some surly young man refused to help me today. His manager didn't even speak to me himself. Apparently they will replace it if you buy online but because the packaging had been removed (not my fault I paid for installation) and I bought it in the shop they have washed their hands of me. It's been passed to the senior complaints team. My advice, don't go near this shop. Buy online or go to Great Western Road where the manager is very kind and helpful. I have lost £449
