Amanda's Art Classes

My daughter first attended classes with Amanda when she was 7, so five years and counting...!!! Amanda's classes and teaching techniques have been instrumental in Charlotte gaining a Year 7 Art Scholarship ... she wouldn't have done it without her!She has learnt a vast amount about Art and individual artists and their work through the activities provided in the classes.I would recommend these classes to budding artists everywhere, big or small!If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

My teenage daughter has been attending Amanda’s classes for the past few terms and really enjoys it!She has found Amanda to be welcoming and put her at ease quickly.Amanda is very encouraging, patient and keen to help the students achieve their artistic best!It’s also been lovely for my daughter to work on an interest outside of school and to make other friends.We definitely recommend Amanda’s classes!

Amanda has the natural ability to make her excellent teaching a fun and sociable time. She prepares and supplies all the materials and each project utilises a range of skills and media. Amanda’s Art lessons inspire me!

I have had an interest in all art forms for years but never got around to joining a class. I love drawing and painting but had not really any idea. I looked online and found several classes however they did not fulfil my criteria, i.e. learning all the basics with a good Tutor but being able to interpret my own ideas and views at my pace. I found Amanda's class and joined along with 6 other people I had not met before and with slightly varying levels of knowledge. What a brilliant bunch of people and the classes by Amanda are spot on. No pressure, all equipment supplied and more importantly learning different painting and drawing skills and techniques from a very professional, talented and lovely lady. I will continue with the class if I can, it is just a joy and pleasure to be there with everyone in a very relaxed atmosphere. I love it.

I have been attending adult art classes since Jan 2018. They are always great fun and strike the right balance between informality and proper tuition. Due to the small size of the class Amanda is ever on hand to advise and stop things going wrong !A wide range of medium is used and all materials are provided. This means you can try new things without having to splash out on materials for a style or method you do not like.Go with an open mind and try anything. Who would have thought this 60 year old man would discover a love of painting Flowers and using Collage
