Lindsy Murray:Dog Behaviourist

Lindsy has been an absolute godsend for my partner and I. We came to Lindsy when my dog was around 7 months old when he started to display some aggressive behaviours. Through Lindsy's clear advice, understanding and expert knowledge we now have a much better grasp on how to prevent these behaviours. Whilst there is never a quick fix, we have been working alongside Lindsy for almost 5 months with great success. There is so much misinformation out on the internet that I encourage anyone struggling with their dogs behaviour to reach out to her. She has truly been invaluable and I dread to think where we would be now with our dog without her help.

We first got in touch with Lindsy a couple of years ago for help with our dog who had developed reactivity issues after a serious illness. She helped us understand the cause of his anxiety and guided us towards helping him feel safe, happy and relaxed. We have since contacted Lindsy again for support with a rescue we recently adopted. Again, Lindsy has been amazing in identifying anxiety triggers and coming up with a plan to help move forwards. Lindsy is really thorough in her approach - she takes time to understand the situation and is always happy to answer all our questions. We highly recommend Lindsy!!

Despite being a very experienced dog owner I found myself seriously out of my depth with my youngest dog Bobbi a Czech Shepherd. She was difficult, very reactive and unpredictable and was making family life unbearable not to mention, making one of my other dogs very withdrawn. Bobbi did not act like a normal dog, she didn’t enjoy interaction/cuddles was becoming unmanageable both inside and outside of the home. People didn’t like her and I’ve lost count of the times extended family members suggested I ‘get rid’ of her or have her put to sleep. We also had the added problem that she was biting people. So after over a year of trying everything I knew I contacted Lindsy (her details were on my vet’s website), and she responded straight away setting up a zoom call for a few days later. Although due to Covid, face to face meetings were not possible, zoom appointments worked really well. Lindsy is very good at listening and obtaining the information she needs and with me, her experience enabled her to quickly formulate a plan for Bobbi. The difference is AMAZING!! Bobbi still has a long way to go but most days, she is a completely different dog, with Lindsy’s guidance we are now able to understand Bobbi and meet her needs. I realise now that not all dogs just need walks and to be loved, some have complex requirements that I certainly would not have seen without Lindsy’s help. Our other dogs are content again, Bobbi enjoys cuddles and is becoming a less anxious dog. I can’t thank Lindsy enough for her expert knowledge and understanding. I’ll be consulting her again once we have reached the next stage in Bobbi’s development. I would highly recommend Lindsy to anyone who needs professional, experienced advice.

Lindsy has been working with us for around 6 weeks or so. We have a Romanian rescue, Theo, who has many fear issues and is very traumatised.Wow- the difference we have seen in Theo! He is so much happier and more confident. And so am I!Lindsy has been absolutely amazing throughout- she has a calm but clear demeanor and has offered us an abundance of hands on, practical advice and support with so many things.There is no way we would have progressed this far with Theo if we didn't have Lindsy. She is so patient, non- judgemental, super flexible and understanding- consistently sharing her vastamount knowledge and force- free teachings with us.I had my reservations about the sessions being via zoom, but I can honestly say that I don't think this has hindered the progress whatsoever.I highly recommend this fantastic woman :) I'm so grateful for all of her guidance and on going support.Thank you Lindsy!

My partner and I got our first puppy, Theo, during the first lockdown. Ofcourse we were extremely excited however we didn't realise just how difficult it would be! We have a chow chow / shiba inu cross and we struggled with some fear aggression and resource guarding among other things like socialisation.Via zoom sessions Lindsy taught us how to read Theo better and talked us through our issues very patiently and effectively. As a result we understand Theo a lot more and have learnt to read him better than we did before our sessions with Lindsy.We went through techniques and the best way to read Theo and how he felt in certain situations and how to overcome them. She provided us with the skills to have a better relationship with our dog.I would highly recommend Lindsy as a dog behaviourist - We really appreciate all the help and knowledge that Lindsy provided and feel we can approach her for assistance at any time.

I wish I could have Lindsy forever!We came to Lindsy early 2022 as our little girl needed some help with her confidence and tolerance around other dogs. Lindsy spent a lot of time discussing the background to our situation to try and identify triggers that may be either causing or contributing to the behavioural issues we were experiencing with our new Maltese puppy. We were impressed by the fact that she spent time between our Zoom calls thinking about our issues and reviewing information / videos that we sent, which was evident from the way she was prepared for the follow-up calls, generally having specific guidance for us, which often included videos for us to watch, for different aspects of behaviour training. She was great value for money, not only for the quality of her input, but also the fact that she was never clock watching during our calls (which sometimes went beyond the allotted time) and as mentioned earlier the time she spent preparing between calls; we also contacted her a couple of times between calls for advice and nothing was too much trouble. She is very professional and very experienced and I would not hesitate to recommend her. We have no doubt that without her help and guidance, our little puppy would not be as well settled and happy. A big thank you Lindsy - we are so grateful for all your support.

I highly recommend Lindsy Murray to those who are having behaviour issues with their dog. We turned to Lindsy when our rescue corgi Percy had issues with food and lead aggression. Lindsy was able to put a plan together for us and now over a year later Percy is a completely different dog. We got in touch with Lyndsy when our GSD became reactive towards other dogs. He’d become anxious and nervous, and we couldn’t figure out why.Lyndsy really took the time to get to know us and Starks background, and with her vast knowledge and experience, she was able to teach us about triggers, thresholds, body language and communication. We are now much more understanding of how Stark is feeling in these situations and we are equipped with the skills to overcome them.We quickly started to see a difference in his behaviour and this is all thanks to Lyndsy.Highly recommended!
