Tour Gems

As we look at the photos of our June trip to England we are amazed at all we were able to see on our 8 hour day tour with Gennys tour! We only had 2 nights to stay in the Cotswolds prior to our cruise up the coast of Norway and we wanted to see this beautiful and historic area. After an extensive on line search of tours offerred we settled on Genny and we are so glad we did! If you want your own personalized tour (only your group!) that is reasonably priced with insights from a Cotswold local go with Genny! We opted for an airport pick up on our arrival with a drop off at Blenheim Palace! This was a brilliant suggestion of Genny! She dropped our luggage off at our B&B and arranged for her friend Tony to pick us up 4 hours later! The next day we had 8 full hours with Genny that included local history, short walks , pub lunch on your own and tea. We were very fortunate that we booked ahead and included a transfer to Southhampton!,

We spent one day with Genny travelling north to south in the Cotswolds. In between the big attractions that we scheduled, Genny also took us to smaller scenic spots along the way that were well worth a stop but would never show up on a tourist guidebook.Along the way, Genny pointed out aspects of towns and landscapes and used those as starting points to describe all types of larger issues, such as the unique geology of the Cotswolds, the economic development of the wool trade, arts and crafts design movement, flora and fauna, and everything under the sun (which we had plenty of, luckily).We were in the UK for two weeks, and we often found ourselves running across something that would make us recall something that Genny told us. So, it was not just a day trip, but also a bit of an education that paid dividends on the rest our trip.

Even through Genny was fully booked, she still made the effort to get back to me. Very professional!

My husband, I and my daughter took a 2016 tour with Ginny. It was a thoroughly magical day! Could not have been any better. What a lovely, highly guide and fantastic tour. Ginny was on time, organized, her van was spotless and her driving perfect. The spots of the tour and where we stopped for coffee and lunch delicious. I can't recommend her tour highly enough. A++
