What a treat. Delightful tea rooms within the castle. A welcome rest after a long walk. The tea was served so beautifully in vintage crockery. And the scones were to die for!I never enjoyed tea & scones so much in my life!And a special thanks to the lady who served us who was so friendly & kind & made us feel most welcome. If you visit the castle you absolutely MUST visit the tea rooms too

Called in for a cuppa and a piece of Victoria sponge. It was delicious - so light. There was only one member of staff when I called in (I'd brought a group of senior citizens to the castle). It's just a shame the cafe was so small.

Visited with colleagues, who ordered jacket potatoes and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was out of a machine, which my colleagues were disappointed by. The prices were rather high, costing around £16 total. One colleague requested butter on the jacket potato, and had to ask again, only to be given margarine.I didn't eat or drink here, personally, I had my own lunch which I wasn't allowed to eat, despite being with paying customers.An unfortunate experience to be frank, especially with the attitude of the lady behind the counter. We like to support local businesses, but won't be holding any meetings here again.

Absolutely fantastic! Ordered 5 x jacket potatoes with beans, 5 x rounds of sandwiches, 10 x drinks and a cream tea! Excellent food and service with a smile. Made our day!

Fresh home baked scones, lovely!More tea then you can drink. Warm and cozy. Very attentive owner, helped with wheel chair. Recommended. Wheel chair route not obvious.
