Stratton Glass and Windows Ltd

Extremely happy with the conservatory supplied and constructed by Stratton Glass 2 years ago. I've waited this long to review it so that any potential issues would have been seen by now - but after this length of time, we have had nothing whatsoever to complain about. When building work commenced, we had what we thought would be a major issue, but Harry from Stratton visited us within the day to view the problem. It was quickly addressed with absolutely no argument (even though I had been expecting a confrontational visit), and from then on the works progressed well. Even the changes we requested were implemented with no fuss, no 'extra over' billing. The conservatory has been a fantastic addition to our home and is used every day. We regard it as a worthwhile investment, have received compliments from all our visitors. Any regrets? Yes. I wish we had asked them to install the new windows we had done on moving in. We thought we were saving a couple of hundred pounds by going with someone else, but that ended up costing us a lot more to put their work right. We would not hesitate to use Stratton again, and recommend them to anyone thinking of having new windows or conservatory/orangery. Quite happy to let potential customers have a look at what they did for us!

his was the third time in four years that I have used this company to install windows at my home address. On this occasion, Stratton Glass were installing large secondary double glazing units against two large stone mullion windows which was a challenge to the fitter given that the walls were neither true or square. The fitter arrived exactly on time on the day of installation. He was courteous and expressed his commitment to make sure I was happy with all aspects of the installation process. He minimised any disruption inside my house and was meticulously tidy. The frames were installed so expertly and the fitted glazed panels went in perfectly. The end result was better than I had expected and I am delighted with the finished result. An excellent and professional service carried out by a local company. Having used this company three times, it will be apparent that I am very content with the quality of their product and its installation. I would be happy to recommend Stratton Glass to anyone who needs to replace sealed window units or secondary double glazing.

I would urge anyone thinking of using Stratton to think twice and consider other companies after our awful experience with them which continues.On a positive note, the builder who laid the foundation and who did the brickwork was superb, very hard working, helpful and friendly. Two fitters came out to construct the rest of the conservatory. One was lovely, the other not great. The electrician that came was surly, rude and unfriendly.The four electrical sockets were installed in the incorrect place; far too high up the wall, just one brick course lower than the windowsills. They look absolutely awful. The director of the company has repeatedly cited building  regulations which do not apply to additions to existing buildings (i.e. extensions and conservatories). Even if the regulations were applicable the sockets would still not be in the correct position. First the director told us it was in case of flooding (not true), then that the regulations mandated it (the regulations are not applicable) and then that the builder had decided to put them there of his own accord for 'ease of access', something we never asked for. The socket height should have matched those in the existing property. Even the face plates of the sockets were not put on straight and the overall finish and finesse of the finish of the conservatory on the whole is very poor. The director then blamed us as the customers for not specifying the socket height! He has done absolutely everything he can to shirk any responsibility and accountability on Strattons part.Dealing with the director of Stratton has been extremely stressful. Day after day I have been subjected to long, verbose emails repeating the same information ad infinitum. He has refused to carry out any of the other rectification work needed (work that has not been carried out properly in the first instance) because we have expressed our dissatisfaction regarding the socket placements. He has tried to claim it is additional work" and "extra work". He has been obstructive

Stratton Glass did a superb job of making and then Luke installed a fan window at the top of our staircase. All done clean, courteous and helpful. Highly recommend Chris and Luke and Rob. Very professional.

We are very pleased with the mirrors we have had installed by Stratton Glass and Windows. They were responsive during the pandemic, good value and there was good communication from the company. The guys took care to get the fitting correct.

From start to finish, Stratton Glass have been brilliant.We chose Stratton Glass for a few reasons, the quality of the product (which was vastly superior to the 20 odd competitors we had contacted), Harry and his team were not pushy and understood our needs and I was looking for a particular style and colour which Stratton were only too happy to help with.The price point was surprisingly good particularly in lieu of all of these factors.The installation team were great. Very polite and helpful and even pointed out a manufacturers issue which was swiftly sorted out with ease.We were not disappointed with the outcome either. The windows look fantastic. We would absolutely recommend Stratton Glass, in fact, we did to my parents who are considering purchasing too!

Stratton Glass & Windows are brilliant. The quality of the product is excellent. The fitting team who installed my new stone window cills and the windows and doors were all very skilled and their attention to detail was exemplary. The customer service I received from start to finish was very professional and the after-sales engineer was friendly, conscientious and reliable. Excellent service. Had a few broken and blown window panes and was concerned the work would be too small for them. One call and an estimator came out quickly, glass ordered, and installed by very professional glazer. clean, respectful and tidy. Fair price for the work and would have no hesitation recommending.

I'm very happy with the entire process of ordering replacement double glazing units for my windows. Luke is a very personable young man and he came to measure up my blown windows (9 in total). It didn't take that long for the replacements to arrive and he and Chris, the manager, came to fit them. I was a little concerned that the roof tiles might get damaged but I need not have worried. I was surprised at how speedily they went in and the entire process was stress free. Luke covered garden plants, without waiting to be asked, and was very respectful of the house and garden. There was no damage and I'm really pleased with the results. The company use good quality market leading glass products so they should last a long time. Chris is really friendly and helpful and always on the end of the phone to answer any questions. I'm really happy.
