Please do not go here for any cartilage piercings. They use a gun. I had 2 cartilage piercings done on the side of my right ear at the same time one above each other however one of them was pierced at such an angle that the back of the piercing was actually close to my head. Today I have had to go to a shop that specialises in piercing and they have taken the piercing out as it’s made a dent in my ear which has made my ear become very swollen. They have said a gun should NOT be used on cartilage piercings. The piercer today also tried to put in a standard titanium bar to allow for any further swelling but was unable to get the piercing through as the hole that the gun had made was far too small. I have now been recommended to leave the piercing out, let it heal up and get it repierced with a gun. It is extremely painful! As nice as the ladies are at this shop it has been very disappointing experience here.

Myself and a friend visited today to get our second ear piercing... We were a little nervous, but the ladies were absolute super stars and put us at ease. Lovely quiet calm atmosphere and beautiful jewellery 100% recommend. Thanks ladies!

Absolutely amazing staff. Took my son's girlfriend to have her ears pierced as part of her Christmas present. She's always been quite scared to have them done but the lady who did them was so kind and explained everything to her she relaxed and it went without any problems. The lady even made her laugh at calling my son her dad.Highly recommend.

My children had their ears pierced here today. A fantastic experience! Great staff, they talked us through everything and were very good with the children. My daughter had her upper ear pierced in the cartilage and the system they used was brilliant. Almost painless! Would recommend to everyone. Very good price too. Thank you!

Good selection of jewellery, and great customer service. Their free ring removal service was incredibly handy and I'm grateful they were on hand.Word of advice, if you're tall, mind your head on the door frame while leaving. It hurts quite a bit.

I took my mother's old engagement ring into Oliver & J Jewellery, to see if they could redesign it. The claws had broken off and the tips across the diamonds were untidy from past repair,after much consideration we decided on a rub over setting, and due to the price of gold at the moment, I had all three diamonds set in a silver trilogy setting. I couldn't believe how lovely it looked when I got it back, I kept the 18ct band so just the setting replaced at an affordable price, the jeweller even added gold to the band where it had thinned out. FantasticI'm the proud owner of what looks like a brand new ring, couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and the customer service. Anyone with old jellewery I recommend new settings. I took my daughters to have her ears pierced yesterday and I really can't praise this place up enough! The staff were absolutely fantastic with her. She is normally quite shy but they made her feel so comfortable. She came away one happy little indeed. The jewellery is all so beautiful my older daughter fell in love with quite a few pieces. Would highly recommend and will definitely make a return visit.

My partner and I had a fantastic experience selecting my engagement ring together here. All staff were welcoming and helpful from the start and we were told that the original ring we liked could be adjusted to be just how we wanted it, which made it feel even more special! We went to collect the ring a few weeks later, however, after wearing it for a day or so I realised it was a little bit big. Emily immediately remembered me when I returned to the store which was lovely and was then super helpful in sending my ring off to be resized. It is now safely back on my finger and I would highly recommend Oliver and J jewellery for a personal, friendly and efficient experience :).

Beautiful range of jewellery items with loads of choice, and welcoming friendly staff. The ladies in the shop gave a great shopping experience and helped me to find the perfect earrings I was after. Would recommend to friends and others who are looking for a gift item, or to spoil yourself!
