Otec Hearing - Hearing Aids & Ear Wax Removal

I recently had a 2 week hearing aid trial at Otec Hearing and what a difference the hearing aids have made! The Audiologist Kashif was extremely knowledgeable with hearing aid technology and set me up with Starkey rechargeable hearing aids. Took my son to have really bad build up of wax removed. kashif listened to our concerns as he only has hearing in one ear which was blocked. He was so re-assuring and explained the procedure fully. Within minutes the suction was complete with no discomfort and my son could hear again! I mentioned that my own ear had been blocked over a year but due to a bad experience of ear syringing as a child I was reluctant to have anything done. I didn't have an appointment but he advised me that my ear was totally blocked. I wanted the wax removed but was quite frightened. Kashif was beyond patient, despite me asking him to stop a few times and he got the wax out within a few minutes. I highly recommend this gentleman. If you value good customer service and kindness this is the place to go! If I needed this service again I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The suction was not painless and my hearing has suffered as a result of the intense high pitched squealing during the whole procedure. I experienced earache in the subsequent week and now await an appointment with the ENT department at Lincoln County Hospital.I would never undergo this procedure again and will settle for the more traditional flush.

I attended the clinic today for a microsuction appointment to remove a build up of earwax in both my ears. Kash was very friendly and professional and made me feel very comfortable throughout the appointment. After explaining the hearing loss I had been experiencing due to earwax build-up, he used a camera to show me the earwax inside my ears. Microsuction was then used to remove the earwax which is pain free and efficient. Kash was very gentle and talked me through what he was doing at all times. Once the wax had been removed he used the camera again to show me the results which were fantastic with my hearing much better than it was. The appointment lasted approximately 25 minutes. Brilliant, efficient and reliable service that I will definitely use again in the future.

Having had a long history of earwax problems over many years, and visited many audiologists, I found Kashif to be professional and capable, putting me immediately at ease. The procedure was simple and stress free. I would definitely recommend visiting him for any auditory problems you may have.

Without doubt the best £80 I've spent so far this year! Excellent wax removal/microsuction service after being in considerable pain. First time had procedure done and a very welcome painless transformation! Definitely recommend and will be returning here if/when problem reoccurs.

Can not speak highly enough of Otec Hearing. I made an appointment due to a totally blocked right ear that i was deaf in. After meeting the most friendly gentleman ever and he listened to what I had to say he proceeded to clean my ear out by suction he was really gentle, fast and efficient. I can not tell you how good my ear feels now and I can not recommend him enough so professional and friendly a real nice chap. If your having issues get yourself booked in you won't regret it Otec Hearing is great.
