Notes of Northumberland

I have been a loyal customer with Notes for over 3 years and this past year I have been very disappointed in the service. Myself and family members continue to be loyal and again we are let down with long lead times and lack of communication. I have been waiting for my current order for 3 weeks, when website states 5 working days. I have tried contacting via different channels and nothing. If you cannot fulfil online orders, don’t offer them or at least disclose realistic lead times. I will not be ordering once (if) I receive this pending order.

I have bought a number of items from Notes since I discovered them, and have always been impressed with the variety and quality. The recipients were very happy to receive the gifts. I shall continue to buy from notes……and keep the odd thing for myself!

This review is mainly regarding online sales.Having previously received very poor experiences of actually receiving my orders online in a timely manner or actually getting them at all (my last order of over £100 had to be claimed back through PayPal as a dispute due to no response from the company) I'm very surprised that this company is trading online again. I'm struggling to have any confidence in a company that hasn't traded fairly via online sales.That said I would buy from the shop. The products are very good. I have Christmas in Northumberland" reed diffuser at the moment which smells fantastic. Unfortunately I live too far away to be physically doing "Christmas in Northumberland" so I won't be purchasing anymore products this year.I will wait to see if online sales improve but looking at recent reviews it's not looking promising."

Sadly as like others I have not received any order.I have had every excuse there is. If the post office effected you so much you would use another courier.Emily does not take ownership, she has not paid her staff ,tradesman and suppliers.She will blame you rather than herselfYes we get unwell , Emily's condition is serious. However her problem started last year and still not corrected.I have tried to get money back via card company but they said no funds are available.Do not order from NOTES.How this woman has been taken money for crowd funding is beyond me. This is fraud!

Visited the shop in Alnwick today wanting to buy a large candle as a gift for Christmas. On the front desk were about 20 large Christmas candles in a decorative glass jar......perfect with an amazing scent. I enquired as to cost & at £40 was perfect. However, the assistant advised me I couldn't buy as they were missing a sticker !! I stressed I wasn't bothered about the sticker, but she stressed she couldnt sell it. Why then have them on display teasing you with the goods !! I must admit I really like your products, have supported your business over the last 3 / 4 years but have found Dovecote candles on fenkle Street where notes of Northumberland used to be has surpassed your customer service and products. I will be using them from now on.

Attended a candle making workshop, had such a lovely afternoon. Professional but friendly, high quality equipment, great presentation too. The shop is beautifully presented and the scents are amazing. A local business selling high quality candles.

Purchased a Christmas in Northumberland reed diffuser and wax melts. House smells absolutely unreal. Super friendly and helpful in store also. Written on behalf of my wife Dani Hodson.

I visited the store in Alnwick over half term and didn't know a lot about Notes of Northumberland but I can say the room fragrances are really lovely. I bought a few fragrances with the help of the girl in the shop. I'm particularly pleased with my Christmas fragrance for the car. Hope to be back to Alwick for some Christmas Shopping and a restock.

Visited the lovely Emily and her staff today for the Christmas event and it was as amazing as ever.. got an amazing goody bag and a good start to christmas shopping ..everyting beautifully packaged. including the amazing Christmas in Northumberland scent... absolutely amazing to have you back again ... First class products you definetly still have a regular here

Awful customer service. Don’t bother ordering, you won’t receive your order. You won’t receive any response from anyone when you try email or phone to follow up on your order as proven by myself and the dozens of other people sharing their experience.Emily is fraudulently trading and is constantly promising things on social media which are NEVER resolved.Very nice smelling products. Not worth the theft of your hard earned cash.
