Great modern stylish pub in an old setting. Roaring fire, fine selection of wines, gins and cask ales. Suits professional, younger and those looking for a historical theme. Cosy , smart and cultural bliss

What a cracking pub .We all did our annual Xmas walk and called at the Rising sun for a couple.The barmaid was excellent serving three people at once .The beers were excellent (especially White Rat).Will definitely be calling again.Well worth a visit.

A ready welcome from the barmaid, locals friendly too, nice ale. This place would be warm and inviting even without the real stove fire which was especially appreciated on coldest day of the autumn so far.
