I'm writing to follow up on a phone call that my wife had this morning with Dr Alison Kerr of Perth City Medical Centre (Caledonian Road, Perth PH2 8HH). My daughter has been unwell for the last 14 days. Initially, she was seen by Dr Wilson, who was excellent and advised us to administer Calpol and Nurofen independently; if her health declined further, then we were advised to contact the practice again as antibiotic treatment might be necessary. Considering her young age (22 months) and the direct threat of Strep A with known cases in the area, my wife has had no choice but to contact the Perth City Medical Practice to request an appointment as my daughter has been presenting unwell through the morning with a high fluctuating temperature (40C) and constant cough. In that distressing time, from the start of the conversation with Dr Alison Kerr my wife felt patronized, as according to Dr Kerr there was nothing to worry about" which brings the question of how she could possibly claim that a patient is ok without even seeing one? It is to be understood that we are all in the Christmas spirit

Doctor tells you to phone for an appointment specifically for them for 2 weeks after bloods and its impossible to get one from the receptionist, even though the doctor tells you that you will get one as I've put it on your notes , really badly run surgery, severely gone down hill.

Posting this on behalf of my wife.Tried to get an appointment and the best they could offer was a telephone appointment in 2 weeks. After the telephone consultation a doctors appointment was given for the following week and the doctor then referred her to the physio.Got appointment to see physio at the medical centre another week later and attended the appointment as arranged. Checked in at reception and was told to take a seat in the waiting room which she did.45 minutes later there was still no sign of seeing the physio so went back to reception only to be told that the physio was at a different surgery that day and I should have gone there. Why was she not told this when the appointment was made and more importantly why was she not told this when she checked in for the appointment. Overall, this was terrible service from this medical centre and from the receptionists in particular.

This place offers abysmally poor service and despite all the terrible reviews, the surgery show their further disdain of patients by not even bothering to respond to them.My recent private referral was delayed due to the administration staff not submitting the referral on time. I constantly chased the referral and got palmed off with vague responses such as it should be done in time"

After being forced to move to this surgery due to moving house I would 100 percent avoid its almost impossible to get an appointment. I have experienced problems numerous times with this thebmost recent being this morning. My daughter has a tick bite and we were given a phone call back 4 hrs after our first phone and advised to keep an eye on it and if we needed to call back then we would be given and appointment straight away. Called back this morning and the only option given was to go through the whole process of waiting for a call back and to send photos over via email. I advised this wasn't what we were told would have to happen the receptionist said the notes only stated that mother would monitor. After swearing at the receptionist due to frustration at my daughters health being put on the line the girl on the desk hung up the phone. Now my child is at risk due to Perth Medical Centres reluctance to see patients. Currently trying to find a new surgery with more competent staff and doctors.

I don’t know how many times their staff have lost my prescription! By the time I get my meds it will be six days without! After apology and apology and repeated to and fro they still can’t get it right. Even worse after my third visit within the last two weeks I was told I have to wait another 48 hours. I have a genetic lung issue and need these meds but was not even offered an emergency prescriptions safe to say somebody their is exceptionally inept at their job. Time to change.

Last week I called to book an appointment with the nurse and the receptionist was very unhelpful and rude.Today I called back to change the appointment, and I spoke to Val. She was wonderful. Incredibly nice and supportive. Val, you made my day. Thank you!

They will not respond to the clients even you are suffering a lot. Waited for one week as per the appointment, after that they said, the appointment was not with the doctor. It was only general enquiry. They will not provide any medication or diagnosis. I need to wait in the queue once again for the doctor appointment.

If you value your health and your life do not register with this practice. I left the practice because I was unhappy with them and unable to get the medical care I needed but I did not realise quite how disgraceful they were until I registered with another practice in the area and received entirely different care for the same medical conditions from a GP who actually seems to care about their patients.

My daughter cannot stop coughing. She has some chest pain and is finding it difficult to breathe and has had pneumonia before. NHS inform reccomends seeing a doctor under these circumstances. However when i called, Kasha told me to that my daughter should go to the pharmacist as that is the protocol for a cough, contradicting NHS inform. Terrible.
