Gluten free, milk free, fish in batter!! Fried in separate oil to ensure it stays gluten free (with other GF options available), and quite possibly the best fish and chips I've had. Friendly service and lovely location to eat in the harbour.

The Haven Fish & Chips in Gorran Haven
Gorran Haven is a beautiful location and the chip shop is 50 metres from the beach. We chose to take out and go sit on one of the benches that overlook the beach.The gent who served us was friendly and helpful.We paid £6.75 for a small (7oz) haddock. I got mushy peas too, which are sold as home made, but looked and tasted the same as any other chip shop, nothing special. There was a five minute wait while the food was prepared, but that's ok because at least its fresh. The food was ok, but I've definetly had better seaside fish. Hence my three stars. It was ok, but that's it... A little under whelming for the money.

We come here each year whilst on holiday and each time we are delighted with our visit. The only thing we were disappointed with today was to learn that The Haven came 2nd in a recent poll of chippies in Cornwall - should have been first!!The best food we have ever had in a chippy, freshly cooked and not greasy; the service was relaxed, exceptional, welcoming and friendly; the restaurant was immaculately clean throughout. My local Cornish Korev lager was refreshingly crisp. Happy customers and a huge well done to all the staff and the restaurant has been a welcome edition in recent years. Before visiting we accessed the user-friendly website as we considered click & collect, but instead we were lucky to book a table through the website at short notice. Keep up the good work and next time go for gold.

Mars bar was really good, first boy that served me was lovely but the fish was more batter than fish and too oily. Also the two girls who gave me my order were so rude and unwelcoming didn’t need to be stared down like that when I was so friendly. The two stars are for that lovely guy and the mars bar. The two girls need new jobs.

Beautiful dinner and lovely staff. Can't say more it was just perfect. Well worth a visit. Set in a lovely village right by the beach. Although not a fan of battered Mars bars the rest of the food was amazing. Catered well for a group of 13 after reserving a table. They also do takeout. A popular chip shop. Nice portions.

Best fish and chips you can get. A highlight of our holidays to GH with Haven fish and chips on the beach or harbour. We recommend to any of our friends or family who go to GH, perfect batter and fish and such a lovely family who run the place.

Small chip shop in Gorran Haven. Decent fish and chips but nothing special. Prices were quite high for the amount of food you are getting. Not much space inside. Atmosphere was quite nice with nice decor.

Amazing fish and chips . Gluten free batter available too. My partner said it's the best GF batter she has eaten. The normal batter was incredible too. Reasonably priced and right on the beach. Staff nice and friendly too :)

Superb chips. Nice and fluffy. One of the best in Cornwall. Excellent customer service and a good value for money. The collect service with the pucks is a great idea.
