Hadn't been for a while so decided to pop in for tea with the husband. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was excellent, staff were all very friendly and atmosphere was great. Won't leave it so long before coming back this time x

Not as good as it was pre COVID, but still an ok lunch meal. A little on the costly side, around £30 for two main meals and 2 soft drinks, but they do have weekday offers and a discounted set menu. Service is usually pretty quick, but it's not the cleanest place overall.

A large party of us went for Sunday lunch for the carvery. A couple are vegetarian - the only options for them were pies. The crusts were too hard to cut and the inside of the cheese pie was awful - they used to do a lovely vegetarian pie but not any more. A couple of vegetarian sausages would be ideal and to have them already cooked. The vegetables and Yorkshire puddings were lush especially the carrots and Brussel sprouts. We wouldn't go back though unless they improved the vegetarian menu - there's plenty of other carveries that have better options.

Visit frequently for both breakfast and evening meals with various different groups, family, friends and children. Always receive a warm friendly welcome. Food is excellent quality, quantity and service is efficient and not overly intrusive. Venue is clean and facilities in good working order. Never had any issues personally but if we have overheard any complaints, they are always dealt with quickly and effectively. Only negative would be the change of the breakfast menu pricing as previously we could order different sizes but now pay one set price and additional cost for tea/coffee, although the breakfast is delicious the price is significantly increased. Big positive is the Blue Light discount which would make us choose this venue over others, and location as is very close to home, with ample parking. Would definitely recommend.

The cauliflower was too hard to cut. The sprouts too hard to eat. Meat and other veg was lovelyThe cherry bomb was served with no coulis.Seemed to be an issue with paying the bill as the girl on the till was unsure of what to do.The queues to buy a drink were far too long, you need more staff behind the bar to serve drinks. We did get out drinks served to the table as we had Christmas fayre meal.

I am incredibly disappointed with the meal which was served to me last week, and as a regular I am appalled that this is allowed to leave the kitchen judging by previous meals I have received which have been impeccable. I will not be returning as I am disgusted. The 'Curried Chicken Skewer' is supposed to include salad, yoghurt and mint sauce, spring onions and a pot of curry sauce separate.I have family who work for Greene King and they would not allow this meal to leave the kitchen as it is an embarrassment to company standards. The first photo is the meal which I received last year with everything included and the second photo is what I received last week.

I've been there twice now, once for the carvery and the other for the a la carte menu. It was good both times. The carvery is as expected, good. The menu is quite good too. They are a Greene King restaurant and pub but they have a different menu from the usual ones, much better ones. Good cake selection as well.
