We stopped by here last week after our visit to Alton Towers. We were looking for a place to eat that evening. This was just perfect! Service was really good and the pizza's we ordered were unbelievable!! So amazing! The garlic bread was the best I have ever tasted. As a dessert we decided to order the lemon meringue pizza, we just had to try it. Everything was so delicious!We only visited the pub/restaurant ;) But 5 stars anyway!

Went here just before a trip with our family to the Polar Express at Churnet Valley railway.Service was great with friendly staff.We had ( the wife and myself) the mixed grill and other things for other family members . The food was lovely whatever we ordered . If I could pick one thing out to say was most of the food comes from the kitchen in the main part of the pub brought outside to the lovely large festively decorated dining area . I didn't complain but my food( meats ..gammon lamb pork chops etc) weren't as hot as I would have liked. It is also worth noting this is a dog friendly area, with at one time up to 5 dogs who were well behaved. I am a dog lover ...but if you don't like dogs whilst eating be forewarned. All in all a nice meal to start a lovely day.

Very friendly staff. Lovely food very reasonably priced and large portions. We stayed in one of the rooms and apart from the shower having a bit of mould round the bottom of the shower tray everything was lovely. Would definitely recommended as very good value for money

Great pub. Pizzas were amazing and the Sunday dinner was fab. Reggie the dog was super cute. Thank you to all who made my sister in laws birthday extra special :)

Stayed here just before the Alton Towers Half Marathon. The initial welcome was lovely Connor took me directly to my room and was very helpful with the questions I had and was a very welcoming host. The room was lovely and warm and had a home from home feel to it. Loved the little fireplace thing with the light in. The bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately I never got eat any of the meals as I arrived very late at night and had to leave first thing the next morning. But I would almost certainly stay again great work guys lovely place you got there

The food, the service and the whole vibe was perfect.After a long day at Alton Towers, this is a must go to place to wind down before going home.The staff were awesome and accommodating to dietary needs.

Today my family attended a wake for a very dear friend .the service and food was fantastic. Everyone was catered for,tea coffee hot food of excellent quality. Cold food also excellent. Lovely room and a warm place to talk and chat on such a sad occasion. Thanks to all the staff.
