Fabric World, after 50 years in business, in Bletchley, this is an incredibly old style beautiful shop where you can find all you need about sewing, from cotton spools, buttons, beads, great assortment of various fabrics, and much much more. Their haberdashery will amaze any enthusiast. Located in the heart of Queens way, bletchley, with available street parking. Open from Monday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is a must visit shop with a great reputation and amazing items. Highly recommended.

Used to be a lovely place back in the day. Me and my friend went in last week looking for safety pins. The women at the till was completely oblivious to us. When she finally acknowledged us she moaned about the fact we wanted a different sized pin. Quite frankly one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while with customer service. What once was a welcoming homey shop, is now a joint full of miserable old gits

Amazing array of fabrics in the tardis of a shop, took a fabric sample book home, came out to measure and I have just had the most beautiful hand stitched blinds fitted with no bother at all. Very happy from start to finish.

Goodness! What an amazing shop - it was like a TARDIS full of so many fabrics! Selection of prices too. Very cheerful and helpful staff.

Their van almost ran me off the road South of Bedford. Speeding and weaving through traffic, almost pushed me off a slip road tailgating a car in front at a merge point. If that's how they drive, I wouldn't trust them with my money.

My wife called into the shop today, looking for a skirt pattern, some fabric and some advice from an experienced shop assistant. She managed to find the pattern herself, but could not get any help from either of the sales assistants to find a suitable fabric from the hundreds of bales piled up seemingly haphazardly in poor light with difficult to read labels. They were not interested in serving or of offering any kind of assistance or advice. In the end she gave up and walked out. We will not be going back.

Love this shop. The staff are helpful and try to answer all your questions. If you can't see what you are looking for just ask as they may have. Always my first point of call for my sewing needs and I highly recommend

Staff are either rude, interested or have no idea about different types of fabric. I called to find out if they had neoprene fabric and lady was very short in saying no (I'm assuming she was busy), I asked her if she knew what it was because I've been in this situation before with the Bletchley shop and she replied no.I said it's like scuba, but lightweight to use for bra and corset cups and I asked if she would check for me as I didn't want to drive 25 minutes to find they didn't have it. It was evident that she was annoyed to be bothered about it, so I hung up the phone.What a shame the Leighton Buzzard shop closed! The staff here were so friendly and helpful and had good knowledge of stock and materials and haberdashery and if they'd never heard of it, they were happy to learn. There's another fabric shop in Bletchley and I hope they do well and expand so Fabric World won't take their customers for granted. I will be avoiding them from now on.

Been shopping with this company for more years than I remember. Have used the bespoke curtain making service, curtains were beautiful. Staff always really helpful. Go above and beyond. So nice to go into a proper old fashioned shop.
