Futon Company - Edinburgh

I have bought some lovely furnishings from this shop and had a couple of bargains in their sales. The customer service is exceptional and the manager and her assistant couldn't be more friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of the goods are very craft driven modern functional and practical for modern studio flats. Thank you so much to the two ladies who made me feel a valued customer. Can't wait to visit them again.

Approachable staff who are friendly but do not impose which means you can take your time looking at the items in the shop at your own time. Worth dropping by to check out sale items. In terms of the actual products, the ones that i ordered that arrived as a set and required you to put them together, the instructions were not that easy to follow with some steps missed out, so don't expect it to be as easy to put together as other brands that don't expect their customers to have any experience in putting parts together.

I had bought many furniture from Futon. They were expensive but I loved the design and never had any major problems.This was not the case with my latest purchase (orbit chairs)From the start I could tell that the material of the legs was cheap, and yes they broke after 18 months (light use)I asked the company for replacement (or to buy the faulty parts in a reasonable price) and they gave me a quote of 150 for new legs and the rotation disc for two chairs....NO THANK YOUOtherProduct Type

I love our Loop Double Futon Sofa bed so much. The comfort mattress is also delightful. So much so we bought a single one for our daughter’s room. We bought the first futon sofa bed in the Edinburgh store with Francisco’s help. He was knowledgable, patience, and really helpful without being pushy. We are really happy with our purchase. It’s seems comfortable. I’m going to have to sleep in it for 3 weeks so will see whether that it is still comfortable with a regular use.I phoned about the 2nd sofa bed’s despatched date and talked to a lovely and helpful lady from the Edinburgh branch also.All in all great buying experience, quality futon and lovely customer service. Pop in the shop if you are unsure which style to buy.

The sales woman on today's shift is horrendous. Very loud, rude and insensitive. I was basically yelled at when trying to touch a lamp and even told off for another knocked down lamp, which I had nothing to do with. The woman didnt apologize at all after i told her it was not me! Last but certainly not the least, I am holding a product that I intent to buy while still wanting to keep browing, the woman came up to me and said I need to pay for this product as if I was trying to swipe it. What the hell with this woman?! She will ruin your business!

Unfortunately the staff both in store and on the phone are really unhelpful. It’s like they don’t want you to buy anything and everything you ask is a problem or an issue. You can’t buy any products in the shop and everything takes at least 2 weeks to order in. I’m surprised the shops are still around when they don’t have any stock to sell. I asked if I could buy the display items as I was just visiting the city and was told ‘no, because it took me so long to build it last night and I have just built it’. The answer to all questions is ‘no’. Not sure if it is a culture of bad attitude in the company but really didn’t enjoy my experience in store or on the phone when trying to shop. Won’t be shopping here again.

Fantastic service from Lisa and her colleague at The Futon Company in Edinburgh. We discovered their furniture at a York holiday let we were staying in and we went straight out to buy a sofa-bed for our own house from them afterwards. Very comfortable and great build quality. We also purchased a great desk and shelving unit.

I have to say that sadly all the one star reviews here are spot on. Do not shop here. Products aren't in stock and customer service is poor. Shame as products look nice.

Very poor quality product, arrived damaged with faulty construction. They don't do refunds so was delivered an upgraded model of the Twingle. The sides constantly fall down meaning it doesn't function as a couch with sides as intended. The build quality is extremely poor and it started to fall apart quickly. After just over 2 years of light use as a glorified futon the frame is ready for the skip. Even the futon mattress is poor as the buttons" sewn on to the fabric are sewn on so tight that if one gets caught it rips the fabric. A complete waste of money and useless product."

Ordered 2 of their largest tatami mats in store. They had to be ordered in but took less than a week to get delivered to the store.Was offered a delivery service for a reasonable price but declined due to living near by and had my own means of transporting them.Staff where friendly and very helpful. Happy to by from them again in the future.
