Balfe's Bikes Streatham

The Balfe’s team in Streatham Hill has been servicing my bike brilliantly for years. They are a friendly, expert and efficient bunch and have looked after my bike well. In my most recent service they went above and beyond, fixing my what seems an fixable chain guard and handling a small extra niggle very professionally. Thank you!

Balfe's Bikes are the best! They are incredibly friendly and so helpful. I brought in my bike that was producing the most awful squeak when it braked and the team did a full service and replaced the breaks. It now works wonderfully! I will definitely be going back here.

I ordered a bike from Balfe’s, and during collection they were very helpful, adjusting the saddle and offering tips which even as an experienced rider were useful. Examples were changing gear before riding by rocking on the bike stand rather than lilting the bike, and how to remove the LED lights. Altogether a friendly place with loads of stock and experience. Would recommend for both novices and seasoned veterans.

Not sure if this is his branch or not, but had fantastic service from Gee in sorting out a new bike and parts through the Cycle2Work scheme. Real credit to the company and stood out compared to the other bike shops i'd been speaking to. You've got yourselves a regular customer now!

They literally saved my seat.A failure of a nut meant couldn't adjust my saddle.on my way to work stopped in they had me on the road again in 20mins.When I went back next day as I could not undo nut they drilled it out and replaced it within 10mins- not an easy task.Craig and his colleagues deserve the highest praise.

Bike was not serviced or repaired properly. Not checking with me first if I wanted parts they put on with me as they were not like for like but cheap parts. I dropped the bike off three times as they did not have the parts and that was not an issue for me as I wanted the bike serviced and repaired properly. The third time the work that should have been done the second time was sorted. However when I got home, tyres were half inflated, rusty front brakes cables not replaced but worse handle bar rise fork stem was loose. Went to another bike shop and they said it should have been checked as it is part of a service check. It needs replacing. Never going back there again. A quality bike ruined. Plus I could never get through and they never rang back to keep me updated.

We came to the UK to do a bike packing trip and our plan was to buy our bikes in London. Because of flight delays we had really few time to buy the bikes and accessories, and coming to Balfe's was just the right choice. We were served by Patrick, who gave us an impecable service and really went above and beyond to help us. He listened, asked, advised, and gave us the best solution they had available with the few time we had. He even went the extra mile and helped us set everything up - even after the shop was closed and he was done with his shift on a weekend! Incredible professional and human being. The bikes and accesories ended up being really good for what we wanted and a good fit for our sizes. Shops will have the same or similar products, but it's the service that makes the difference.

Rebecca and Vald were both amazing throughout my purchase of a new bike. Gave me some great advice and put up with all my questions lol. Great service and I even received my bike a day early than scheduled. You can’t really ask for more. Thank you!! Will be coming back again. 5 star service

BEST BIKE SERVICE IN LONDON!!Having tried and failed at replacing my chain and cassette, I headed straight to Balfe's Bikes. They were beyond helpful, efficient and friendly.I won't go anywhere else to get my bike fixed. Such knowledgable and down to earth guys who are eager to help with anyone who has a bike problem.Thank you so much, I would give 6 starts if I could!
