Visited this Gala store for the first time and was rather impressed. Clean and tidy bright store. Bought a couple of plants, some drinks and sweets. Will def go there again.

I had the most excellent help from assistant Seon who took care of my shopping trolley when called away. When I returned he was off duty and shopping for himself but insisted in making sure another assistant knew the problem and made sure he would help me before he left, which he did. A most pleasant young man so thank you Seon.

The manager is a rude cow who kept accusing of stealing after so obviously walking in with products. Not happy and she could have handled it in a more professional manner

Well great service NOT at Home Bargains Galashiels today. Asked a male member of staff if their was any dry trolleys to put my nine month grandson in as all the trolleys were outside and soaking with the rain . He answered no I then asked for a cloth or paper towel to dry a trolley, he answered again no and walked away . He was more interested in the school kids at the door of the shop. Great way to treat customers!!

I walked in with my 3 friends all aged 14 and straight in the door we were told to buy something or get out and that they can’t be bothered to deal with kids. At checkout my friend was buying my drink and I was asked to leave as they couldn’t “ keep an eye on all of us”. It is just disrespectful as we did nothing and where instantly spoken to.

I have heard a few complaints about staff over the course of a few months and recently a friend of mine experienced it themselves. The home bargains staff were following children around the shop because they thought they were going to steal items.
