Co-op Food - Hirwaun - Brecon Road

Update: New store due to be opened in September 2018 further into the village around 100 metres this store will then close. Nearly always a long queue to pay for goods. Air conditioning too cold, very little parking outside. Staff aren't that helpful, expensive

Prices have gone up but it's understandable. The car parking situation is a bit of a mess but usually walk there so not a problem.

30 years old and i been getting asked for id for over 10 years even though i keep showing it . stupid part is i use to get served alcohol in this shop at the age of 15 . just plain rude staff and over priced products

A cracking little big shop, one person out one person it rules at the moment which is great. If you can find it here then you probably dint need it in the first place. A must try is their own branded Welsh cakes and lemon biscuits.

Bad experience with honesty of staff at old building.Sad.Local business should make an effort,they are also known to be lazy,(see reviews)nice new shop waisted with high prices and rude management.

Had a lovely old time in this local shop. Cracking place to come for a cool down in the bank holiday sun. The milk selection is second to none, skimmed, semi whole milk the lot. When I seen their J2Os that really did it for me. Support your local business and pop in when you get a chance! All the best.

Expensive

Local small Co-op, ground floor, parking, 2 disabled bays, pleasant staff, good variety of items, small freezer section with the regular £5 deal, good alcohol section with a lot of Fair-trade wines, 3 self service tills although staff are be er far from the tills so it's good for a quick shop.

Convenient, local Co-op situated in the middle of Hirwaun. Prices are a bit more expensive than elsewhere but the products are good quality, as you expect from the Co-op.Unfortunately there is a definite problem with rudeness of employees, specifically the manager. How he ever attained the position of manager with the rude and recalcitrant manner with which he treats customers is anyone's guess. Even worse is how he speaks to his staff in front of the customers.As well as his rude manner his general demeanour is that of someone who just doesn't care. He covers his uniform with a jacket so that you can't tell if he works there, he's generally scruffy and looks like he needs a good wash. I would certainly encourage this gentleman to attend both a customer service and a leadership course in order to attain the required levels of both as he is currentlyta very bad advert for the Co-op.
