All of children loves Gonville, i think it's one of the best school in the barrow.

Always room for improvement but overall a welcoming and close knit community atmosphere at this school. The teachers at the gate are always greeting students and parents alike, and headteacher appears often, looking friendly and approachable. They work hard on being very inclusive. They often do a free school meal for all children which I’ve not seen elsewhere? I find it’s such a sweet gesture. They celebrate a lot of things so expect many non uniform days! There are weekly updates from the headteacher and good communication via an app. The school uniform is adorable, nice blazers! Main thing is I noticed a huge improvement in my son’s reading/writing abilities and I would attribute this to the SFA syllabus and dedication from teachers. In particular, the Reception team and Mrs Adjeti are incredible!

Gonville Academy, the school that has gone through generations of children, the school in which my older siblings (and me obviously) have spent 8 fun filled years in. This is the school, that helped me with MEH FLIPPIN MATHS problems, this is the school that helped me when I felt down. This is the school that you must surely sent your child to. I've recently left the 6th and final year and i can downright say, that this school, Gonville Academy is the best school ever. Not exaggerating here either. Hence, I give Gonville Academy a whopping 10/10 (or 5 stars because thats how we have to rate it here :D) - Sarim Haye 2009-2017

Not impressed my son has been singled out picked on for two years the school call you in to fix the problem by talking to the bullies and then it Carries on my son has had to go to hospital twice because of this and is still getting picked on and yet I've spoke to the school a lot of times nothing has been sorted so I have now told my son that if he gets hit kicked punched any more to hit them back and the school have told me that's not there policy ! The best thing about the school is Miss McCarthy she's a very good teacher wish I could say the same for the rest of the staff I only put a star because I have to and the senco is not worth a single word as my son has special needs she's part time but is never there to have a chat with after two years she still can't get he's name right and has not done a single thing with him best advice go else where

It's a good primary school, facilities are improving. The school can also be hired out for venues and events also

I was bullied in school no one cared about me and my sister we were always looked down on. This school needs to fix up

Lost their OFSTED outstanding rating 2 inspections back and haven't regained it. The harsh truth is this school is only acceptable because this area has so many inadequate rated schools.Only 1 local primary in the area is outstanding. A teacher admitted to me they would never send their child there and honestly neither would I. It sounds like some former pupils enjoyed their time there in reviews on here. Sadly, children are probably in this school because they couldn't get into a better one or their parents weren't very well informed. So much for Academy status.
