Bought an end of line carbon tubular wheelset to race CX (as they suggested they we’re good for) last year. Loved them but the unbranded rear hub freehub gave up after only 4 races. They sent me a replacement which just managed to get me through the season but by the last race both front and rear hubs where on their last legs. I now wish I’d returned them as not fit for purpose and pushed for a refund but being amicable I agreed to pay for a hub upgrade - bitex hubs I was told would work much better.So after paying a further £150, I removed a perfectly good tubs that were glued on perfectly and sent them back at my cost. When I received them back this summer I thought the new bitex hubs seemed pretty decent. They at least made a better sound than the original cheap unbranded ones. Unfortunately my initial optimism was short lived. I’m only 3 races into the 2022 session and the main rear hub bearings are starting to refuse to turn. Yes CX is harsh on a wheelset and yes they have already been washed with a battery powered washer several times during the 3 races but I have miche hubs and Hope hubs that have probably been washed 100 times since 2019 and 2018 respectively and they are still smooth. Reason for the poor review is that I’ve explained this situation on an email to pacenti and they are ignoring me. Therefore please avoid bitex hubs (I’m guessing it’s a set of road hubs that I have) and pacenti wheels for that matter, if you are thinking of going off road in anyway and plan to wash your wheels at some point because they will start to fail. And when they do fail, Pacenti may not be there to help or assist you.

Great wheels and incredible expertise. Fine tunnings and adjustments that will make a big difference when riding.

Ridden both Piccos and Forzas for the past two seasons, absolutely brilliant race and training wheels. I’ve used and abused them abroad and in the UK and they’ve done all i’ve asked of them! Really knowledgable staff, who are always on hand to help- Luke’s got me out of some real jams at the last minute before big races! You’re not just buying a product but buying into the family when you buy a set of wheels.
