Panther Cabs

Absolutely horrible experience. I was with my driver and the driver physically assaulted her completely ruining our night. Car smelt horrible, seat belts weren’t available. Absolutely no reason I’d get this over an Uber ever again

I booked a taxi in the morning using the app for the taxi to arrive in the afternoon. Once it reached the scheduled time I then waited 10 minutes and called, I was told no taxis were available and I will have to wait to be assigned to a vehicle yet my booking was accepted in the morning? After it being half an hour after my booking time and missing my appointment I had to then cancel the taxi. The company should have not accepted the taxi booking knowing there is not enough vehicles. I will also add this was a mid week booking not a weekend. I regularly use this taxi company, but after today I will be booking elsewhere.

Used this company last week. I booked a week or so in advance as I had 15 people to get to and from a venue in Colchester. I was promised that the company would get me and my guests home. I contacted Panther to see where my taxis were and I was told that they were sending one 6 seater taxi as that was all that was available. They said I had cancelled the other two taxis which was totally untrue and when I told them that I hadn’t and needed to get my guests home I was rudely informed to “calm down” by the voice on the other end of the telephone. They did in the end get cars to take us all home but I was not impressed and will certainly not use this company again due to their rudeness and unreliability.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!! If I could give 0, it would be a big fat ZERO!!Booked a mini bus weeks in advance for a night out in Colchester. Got to 10 minutes late and called the office to be told they are busy, only have 1 mini bus and they did t know when it would be here!Eventually arrived 40 minutes late. Missed our table booking for dinner.Then had minibus booked home for 1am, which was also late and they sent 2 cars and then charged double price agreed! Customer service was absolutely terrible, staff in the office are all rude and don’t care about people being left on the streets.NEVER USE PANTHER CABS!!

I know this isn't the fault of panther, it's one of the drivers. I did ring panther and ask if they could contact the driver and ask him to move. He hasn't, and while it has panther all over the car, he is a representative of their company. Complete disregard and selfishness that he thinks he has a right to park there. For reasons of transparency, it's not my space, it belongs to someone who is far too polite and nice to say anything, and will also struggle rather than have a confrontation. Shame on you

One of the problems with reviews of services is that the discontented tend to be over represented, because the contented users don’t bother to post. To try and correct this sampling bias I will say that we have used panther cabs twice in the last 3 months for trips in the rural areas to the North of Colchester with return runs at 22.30 & 23.00 from Fordham and Stoke by Nayland. The drivers have been friendly helpful and considerate. They have been more on time than we have(!) As a tip - keep your phone ringer ON and don’t ignore their calls.. Will use again.

So far so good. Used 8 times in the last week. Always on time - polite drivers and clean cars. OK, all taxis are expensive. Info for Google - they are a Colchester based taxi company.

Booked a cab as we have done many times before. Used this company for years. Booked two days in advance to be picked up from a pub in Bromley. Called when ten minutes late to enquire when it might arrive. Told that they were busy and couldn’t tell me when it might arrive and than no cab had been assigned, despite us booking. Told that booking on the app doesn’t guarantee a time. Told that I was being rude for suggesting that that wasn’t good enough as we were standing in the middle of no where, in the rain. Operator then threatened to cancel the cab. Was told that I shouldn’t expect the cab to arrive on time or at any particular time as it was a Saturday. Was told that should I have called instead, I would have been advised that it was not guaranteed to turn up. Implied that I shouldn’t have booked on the app. Essentially, the company couldn’t care less about its customers. It is about ease and making money for them. They should have said no to our booking but instead, they took it, left us stranded and were unapologetic and even threatening when we dared to question it. I won’t be using them again.

Never using this company ever again due to terrible service. Recently my friend experienced an episode of physical assault by a cab driver which is just unreal and scary - she of course reported to the police rightfully so. I'd rather take the bus than being scared for my life - Would give this 0 starts if I could. Please do be very cautious people when using them.

I received great service. Taxi was nice and early. Driver was friendly. Phoned me to confirm exact pick up point and let me know he was there. Only thing is I was given the ladies panther number so was expecting a woman driver, not that it mattered in this situation but others may care. Nice and easy. Great experience!
